Highlights

Pick up and Aswan Guided Day tour (Meals: Lunch and Dinner)

Aswan - Pick up from Aswan Hotel or train station and be picked up and transferred to your 5 stars Nile Cruise to refresh up and get some rest

Aswan High Dam - Start your day tour in Aswan and drive to the High Dam of Aswan, an engineering miracle when it was built in the 1960s. From the top of the High Dam you can gaze across Lake Nasser to the Kalabsha temple in the south and the huge power station to the north.

Unfinished Obelisk - Continue to the Unfinished Obelisk in the granite quarries of Aswan, where much of the red granite used for ancient temples and colossi came from. The Unfinished Obelisk still lies where it was carved when a crack was discovered as it was being hewn from the rock. Your qualified Egyptologist guide will explain how the 1 ton obelisk was carved, and why the crack caused it to be abandoned.

Temple of Philae - The last of the 3 famous Aswan sites you will see is generally regarded as the best. Philae Temple was carefully moved to its current location (around 500 meters from the original site) when the construction of the High Dam caused surrounding Nile waters to rise. A short motorboat ride takes you to the island, where your guide will take you on a walking tour through the temple before allowing you free time to explore further on your own.

Dedicated to the goddess Isis, Philae Temple has a beautiful setting on an island in the river which has been landscaped to match its original site.

Easy and Magical - such an easy and great tour. we hit all the good spots, had great guides, and even though we booked the tour for several people, it only ended up being the 2 of us so was private! the cruise was really nice with great staff, only thing is that all the spots we went to were very crowded because there are dozens of cruise ships all going to the same temples at the same times. some really early mornings as well if you do the optional things like Abu Simbel & the hot air balloon. our guide Khaled on the last day through Valley of the kings was fantastic. he was very knowledgeable and passionate about his job, knew everything we asked him! Valley of the Kings is the icing on the cake for this lovely tour. absolutely incredible every stop on this whole tour takes your breath away! and super easy, everything planned for you, you don’t have to do anything except enjoy

Good food small cabins, good value! - We loved this cruise! ... The schedules were just right for us given that there were resting times in between the out of ship excursions! ... We enjoyed the pace. They also had some in-ship activities and so the whole schedule was just right for us! The food was delicious and sufficient. (We gained weight!) Uh-oh! The cabins were small and a little cramped but it was great value for money as we didn't want to pay so much for a cruise. We were curious why they were asking for people's educational attainment, etc. But, it was good because they sub-divided the cruise group into smaller group for the out of ship excursions. We were very happy with our cruise tour guide, Michael, who spoke excellent English and adequately guided our group during the 4-days cruise we had from Aswan to Luxor. All the out of ship experiences were excellent and impressive. I particularly loved the excursion to Abu Simbel. It an early call time and a long drive, but it was a totally different experience! ... With matching historical facts that were so interesting! I hope you enjoy this trip as much as our family did!

Great time, Khaled is an absolute professional. - A great tour of the major temples. Khaled is an Egyptologist, not just a tour guide. This man is a wealth of knowledge, and is extremely connected. He is an extreme professional. There are just some extra costs outside the tour price you should be ready for. Every place you enter has a ticket fee you must pay separately.

Wish the cruise ship can be newer and more modern - We only get to know we were boarding the Renaissance boat when we reached the dock. While we understand December is a peak period but we still wish the cruise ship including the rooms, lobby and amenities on top deck can be newer and more modern. In Viator website itself, there are cheaper options with newer and more modern ships (specific cruise ship name mentioned so we can check it out before making decisions) but were sold out.
