• Taj Mahal - The Taj Mahal, a magnificent structure of marble, was commissioned by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in honor of his late wife, ArjumandBano Begum, also known as MumtazMahal, who passed away in the year 1040 of the Islamic calendar (1630 AD). Her dying request was for her husband to construct an unparalleled tomb in her memory.
• Agra Fort - Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, Agra Fort is situated in Agra, India. It is also referred to as LalQila, Fort Rouge, or the Red Fort of Agra. Located approximately 2.5 kilometers to the northwest of the TajMahal, the fort is more aptly characterized as a fortified royal city.

Constructed by Emperor Akbar out of red sandstone after he solidified his reign in 1654, Agra Fort served as both a critical military base and a royal residence.

• Fatehpur Sikri - Located about a one-hour drive from Agra, Fatehpur Sikri is an enthralling abandoned city established in the 16th century, some 40 kilometers away. Emperor Akbar, who at the age of 26 lacked an heir, founded this historical site after receiving a prophecy from Shaikh Salim Chishti, a saint residing in Sikri, which resulted in the birth of three sons for Akbar. In gratitude, Akbar erected an entirely new city at Sikri, which he named Fatehpur Sikri, meaning the City of Victory.

Fatehpur Sikri stands as a prime example of the peak of Mughal architectural grandeur. Constructed between 1569 and 1585, it was designed to serve as a co-capital with Agra but was quickly abandoned due to an inadequate water supply.

The site has been preserved for over four centuries and its palaces reflect the opulence of the Mughal era. Fatehpur Sikri is renowned for its fusion of Hindu and Muslim architectural elements.

The Fatehpur Sikri Mosque is reputed to be a replica of the mosque in Mecca, incorporating design influences from both Persian and Hindu traditions.
