- Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve - Initially, you’ll be collected from your accommodation in Arequipa at 7:30 am, followed by a picturesque 3-hour journey to the Salinas Lagoon. The route includes a smooth drive towards Baños de Jesús and Chiguata (3000M), then an ascent on unpaved paths and uneven terrain along the slopes of Pichu Pichu.
Next, you’ll explore Salinas Luicho, a habitat for indigenous fauna like South American camelids, llamas, alpacas, and a variety of birds. Depending on the water levels, you may also have the chance to visit Salinas Salt. The tour features views of the small volcano Ñuñu and the Ubinas volcano.
Additionally, the excursion includes a short trek (up to 3 km). You’ll head back to Arequipa around 17:00.
