Amazing experience - We really loved this tour! We wanted to explore nature in China and we found this tour online. Longqing Gorge is such a beautiful place and definitely one of my favorite spots in Beijing. We went during a weekday so it was not crowded at all. We took a boat ride to see the beautiful scenery that China has to offer, and had some delicious lunch in a local restaurant. We also enjoyed the Ming Tombs and learned a lot about the history of China. Our tour guide, Qiu Huanan (Anson) was so nice and funny. He gave us an introduction about the history of China and the Ming Dinasty. He took care of everything so we didn’t have to go through the stress of finding transportation or place to eat. We got picked up in our hotel and also dropped off after the tour. If you want to explore nature in China and the countryside, I definitely recommend this tour! It is so underrated!

Nice break and something different from Beijing - We had a great time and enjoyed doing something outside the city. Especially since some attractions were closed due to an upcoming country holiday. This was probably one of the best tours we had, especially because were NOT taken to any pearl, jade or silk store! Jimmy (the travel guide) made all the difference. He was punctual, attentive, and knew his history. Jimmy, if you read this, thank you for everything! You made all the difference and you were one of the best guides we had in China.

A refreshing break from the City - The trip to the Gorge was scenic and unforgettable and the cooler mountain temperatures are welcome this time of year. Jimmy has real insight into the history of the Ming dynasty and a range of other interesting topics. I strongly recommend this tour.

Something different to do - We had a great day out with our guide Jimmy. The traffic was bad due to accidents so went to the Ming Tombs 1st, then the gorge. It was nice to see the area and avoid the masdive crowds at the great wall. Lunch was very good, tasty and lots of it. The ride on the boat in the canyon nice. Would recommend as a day out. Ask for Jimmy he speaks good english and is very knowledgeable.

Nice day-trip to the Gorge - My wife and I had a great day at the gorge. It was nice ad cool (and not crowded!) compared to our previous days touring Beijing. The views in the gorge were captivating. Jimmy, our guide was great translating the commentary of the tour director on the boat. Jimmy was also a great communicator on the drive to and from the gorge answering all our questions about life in China. If you can get Jimmy, as your guide you will have a very enjoyable time.

Worth the drive! - If you wanna see parts of China that aren’t skyscrapers and not a lot of big bus tours, this is the tour for you!! Longing Gorge doesn’t have a lot of tourists because not a lot of people know about it yet. I had booked a tour with Discover Beijing the day before with Lucy and loved it so much I booked this tour and requested for Lucy to be my guide again. Lucy is a fantastic guide. She’s friendly and we had some fun conversations on the drive there. On the way there, she pointed out other parts of the Great Wall which was fun. For the boat ride, Lucy translates for you so you don’t miss anything. During the boat ride, you stop on a small island to tour and see views. Absolutely beautiful and worth it! So yes, book this trip and ask for Lucy!
