An emotional experience - I’m so glad we decided to do this! We’ve been coming to this island for 10 years. Seeing its beauty from the air is a MUST DO! The north side of the island was my favourite. It brought tears to my eye and was an emotional experience. I would highly recommend Blue Hawaii. Our pilot was amazing.

Awesome - I was looking forward to seeing the lava fields and volcanoes. It was a great experience, but when they went to the waterfalls and flying through the valleys, it was awesome. Well worth the price. You see things you will never see from the ground.

Naoshima Experience Planned by The Hidden Japan Travel Agency - If you are planning a trip to Japan and want to go somewhere off the beaten path, do it with The Hidden Japan Travel agency (plan an entire bespoke trip with them). They did a spectacular job planning a brief trip to Naoshima and the other art islands in Japan’s Seto Inland Sea for me and a friend. I have no doubt that they could plan a more extensive bespoke trip that would reflect individual interests. The Hidden Japan Travel Agency agent, Bridgitte Kayasith, planned our trip to Naoshima and the other Seto Inland Sea art islands. These art islands are amazing with brilliant architecture, environmental art, traditional art (Monet, Bartlett, etc.), and sensory experiences. Oddly, they are not on the itineraries of any of the US companies that take groups on tours of Japan. The quality of experiences and the level of detail Bridgitte planned ensured that the trip went smoothly and that we had a beautiful and unique experience. During our time on Naoshima, Bridgitte was available 24/7, always able to effectively problem solve. She booked the most magnificent (and impossible to get) beach facing room at the Benesse Beach House, dinner at the museum, and an English-speaking guide for the Art Project. She provided us with an electronic and hyperlink itinerary that we followed on our iPhones! Naoshima is not to be missed--on my list of things to do before you die, it is #2 (#1 is flying business class on Emirates Airlines).

Awesome….highlight of our 10 days in Hawai’i. - Very professionally run. Our pilot Greg was very personable, a good pilot, and full of local knowledge to share. The perspective of landscape, craters, lava flows, waterfalls, canyons, and dry vs wet sides of the island completely changed our understanding of Hawai’i. Much of what we saw was only visible from the air. The 90 minutes pass all too quickly. HIGHLY RECOMMEND….

Amazing views!! - What a fabulous adventure! Best way to see the volcanoes and waterfalls of the Big Island. James was our knowledgeable and personable pilot on the Big Island Spectacular. He had great information on everything from the history of the island to geology. Great care was taken for our safety and the tour and crew were exceptional. He made sure each person in the helicopter had a great view for all the important sites. Even sitting in the middle I could see everything. Highly recommend for a fabulous heli tour!!

The tour was very well... - The tour was very well organized. The instructions were clear, the waiting area comfortable. The tour started on time. Our guide Shane was fantastic; very knowledgeable and helpful. We saw various beautiful landscapes, many of which are unaccessible from land. I highly recommend this tour.

Beyond Amazing - We went on the Big island Spectacular out of Waikoloa 3-22-24. The staff from start to finish were beyond exceptional and professional. Our pilot Shane was the most informative, knowledgeable, personable, and caring person. He filled our hearts with the history and love of Hawai’i and showed us not only the beauty of the Island, but gave us that eternal history. Thank you Blue Hawaiian for making our 3rd trip to the Big Island so ver memorable. Doug & Carol

Beautiful but WAY too much chatter from other passengers... - This experience was amazing and terrible at the same time. It was the first time I had ever been in a helicopter at the urging of my Army veteran husband. He was sure I would love it. The views and vistas were spectacular, but the helicopter company put us on a flight with parents of two very young children (likely 7 and 4 or so). We were required to wear headsets to hear all pilot instructions and each adult was given a microphone to speak to the pilot. Each of the two parents abdicated their microphone to their children who proceeded to talk the ENTIRE TRIP..."are we there yet, can we land there, where is the other pilot, have you ever crashed, what is this, what is that…”, and other quite inane questions. The pilot had to tell them a few times he needed to talk on the radio so they would stop for a few minutes. He handled it very gracefully, but barely got a word in edgewise for his normal narration. He chose beautiful background music for the flight but we barely heard it as the children's questions and comments were nonstop. My husband and I have 6 children so there is no doubt we absolutely love kids, but there is a time and place for non-stop chatter. This was not a flight with just their family, there were two other people who made a significant financial investment to have this experience. We were so hoping at some point, the parents would tell the children, “hey, there are other people on this flight, let's be quiet for a few minutes and let these other folks ask some questions" or "let's be quiet and enjoy quiet reflection time and enjoy the vast beauty ahead of us”. But no, they let them talk for almost 2 hours non-stop. We could not get out of the helicopter fast enough. We will definitely not EVER do this type of experience again with young children aboard unless they are our grandchildren and it is solely our family aboard. We will also recommend to our children, if they take their kids, to either have a solo family experience or to be mindful of other people aboard if they do not have kids. If there ever is a next time, we will know to ask to have an adult only flight.
