Special experience. Excellent guide and hosts - Excellent! So fun. Loved learning more about Cretan history and the region. Prepping meals was fun - and can’t wait to make the recipes at home. Very congenial atmosphere and beautiful scenery!

Greek Cooking Family Style - Our guide, Giannis, was on-time picking us up at a Chania hotel and made the short journey to the site of our cooking experience interesting with various Greek life stories. The location was beautiful and our host family was warm and welcoming. Our group of twenty prepared a majority of the food we eventually ate later in the evening. Be prepared to participate as this is a hands-on activity and be assured you will be shown exactly what to do. We were very appreciative of the early morning message sent to bring jackets as temperatures that night were chilly. When they learned I did not drink wine, they brought a glass of “juice” that I think was apricot nectar which reminded me of my childhood favorite drink.

Thank you Nikolai and host family. - We had a lot of fun, learned some things about Crete, wine, olive oil and all our cook mates. Even the bus ride to/from the family farm was fun.

One of the best! - This was an awesome experience! Everyone was so nice. The facilities were beautiful and clean. We had so much fun making our food and learning about the local culture. The day was well paced out which created a very relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. Being able to eat the lunch that we created was a perfect ending and was so delicious! This tour is a 10+!

Exceptional experience - do it! - The driver Yassi greeted us with a big smile and handshake. He was so knowledgeable about customs and history. Once we got to the site for our class, the cook and host were also amazing. Yassi was on top of everything. The actual prepping and cooking was really fun. We had breaks of a wine tasting and raki. It was beyond amazing. The location is so beautiful. We had a feast when our food prep was done and the night was magical. I highly recommend this food experience. It was the highlight of our trip.

A spectacular day at the Cretan Cooking School! - What a super fun experience. From being picked up by Yiannis, a man with an incredible treasure trove of information on all things Crete, to the hosts in Melidoni — it was a perfect day. The food preparation was fun — dakos, gemista, spinach and cheese hand pies, tzatziki. We were treated to a wine tasting with nibbles, and we sampled raki. We learned about country life and saw beautiful scenery in the White Mountains. Then it was time for our feast, and what a feast it was!! We all received parting gifts of raki and homemade olive oil soap. Just a lovely day. And don’t forget….you can never add too much olive oil!

Delicious fresh meal! - We had a great experience with our tour guide Maria and our host making a wonderful meal! All the ingredients were fresh and delicious. Our host was very amusing and we felt like family! The dishes we made were easy to prepare and so tasty. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Beautiful and unique experience, with a friendly group & guide - This tour was awesome. The guide was the best, so friendly and informative, thank you so much! The location was beautiful, and it was so enjoyable doing all the cooking and extra activities. It was so friendly and laid back, We all had such a good time. Would highly recommend booking. I only wish I could do this lifestyle every day! But so great to do it for one :)

A highly recommended, wonderfully charming experience! - A wonderful and charming experience! The hosts are welcoming and very kind.
We were transported to a farmhouse like you'd picture in your dreams. The view of the terrain and ocean are a picturesque backdrop.
Then we learned how to make a variety of local Cretan cuisine. It was fun for everyone on our tour and the results were super tasty.
We learned a bit about the history of the place as well.
We even got to feed the goats and sheep!
Absolutely recommend this experience to anyone with the time :)
