The battle for Crete explained. - Bibis was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and passionate about this subject. He was happy to discuss all our questions in depth and go overtime.

absolutely interesting - This is a part of history that we didn't know and which seems to have been important. We had the opportunity to meet a very passionate collector of objects from this war. The sandwiches offered at the end aren't great but the day was really good

Powerful - Personalised, small group tour perfect for this historic experience. Our driver/guide Babis knowledgeable and engaging as he storied sensitive events and sites of the Battle of Crete. Marvellous views of landscape and coast. Interesting collection of war memorabilia along the way. Not to be missed.

Essential Trip for WW2 Enthusiasts - My driver and tour guide for the day, Babis, was all you could ask for: passionate about the subject, well informed, communicative, intelligent, respectful, amusing and kindness itself. The tour was good but made so much better by his ministrations. From Tavronitis Bridge, the key to the Battle for Maleme airfield, Hill 107, which defended it and then to 42nd Street and more, the narrative unfolds and the visit to the Amateur Historian/Military Memorabilia collector’s exhibition was, for me, one of the highlights of the day. Literally over 1,000 items salvaged from the area in the 25 years since he’s been a 16 year old, many being live explosives disarmed himself, and all with a fascinating story he’s happy to share. Brilliant.

Very informative tour; very knowledgeable, capable, engaging guide. - Our tour guide ("Bobbis" - which I'm surely misspelling) was terrific. A scholar, knowledgeable about the war as experienced by the courageous, impressive people of Crete, as well as by the German and Allied forces. We gained both specific information about strategic and tactical elements, and very helpful insights into what is known of the thinking and personality traits of key players, and Cretan and Allied forces. Our guide was also able to help us draw connections past events; events resulting from and following the war; and the political and conflict zones we navigate today. In short, we finished our day with much to think about, and a desire to continue to learn about Crete and this Mediterranean region.

The World War II battle for Crete - Yanis, our driver and guide, was very knowledgeable and accommodating. He shared a lot of facts and photos of the battle for Crete and he explained the significance of each stop along the tour. The stop at the military collector’s mini museum was excellent. There were many unique and rare items in his collection that are tied to the battle. The pace and timing of tour was just right, along with a fresh sandwich from a local shop. I would recommend this tour to any interested in the history of the battle for Crete.

Highly recommended for anyone interested in the Battle for Crete. - As a former New Zealand Army officer I was very much looking forward to this tour and it did not disappoint. The whole tour was excellent and covered so much ground literally and figuratively. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and a great person to spend the day with. Being able to visit the actual battlefield sites really put so much into context. Highly recommended.

Top bloke as guide - Our guide had superb knowledge about the area we went to. He was friendly and accommodating. Despite our lack of knowledge and messing this company around we still got to Di our tour.
