We’ll kick off our journey with spectacular views of Funchal´s Bay, then head up to Boca dos Namorados, a point almost 1000 meters above sea level offering views of the renowned Curral das Freiras (Nun’s Valley). Climbing even higher to Boca da Corrida via an exciting off-road route, your eyes will feast on the island’s primary volcanic complex and towering peaks. Next, we’ll descend to Jardim da Serra, a region famous for cherry production. Here, we’ll take a brief pause allowing you to purchase Portuguese coffee, natural tea, or a traditional local drink called Poncha. Our adventure continues at Cabo Girão, Europe’s tallest and the world’s second tallest cliff, at 589 meters. The cliff is also known for its recently upgraded glass-floored viewpoint. Lastly, we’ll wrap up at the cozy and traditional fishing village of Câmara de Lobos. Here we’ll visit a Madeira Wine Lodge, where you’ll get to sample (on the house) the renowned Madeira wine in various flavors (Sweet / Medium Sweet / Dry / Medium Dry).
