Great way to spend four hours… - Thoroughly enjoyable four hour tour. Ian was very helpful with my elderly parents, and little dog, taking the time to ensure they were comfortable in the car. He adjusted the itinerary to cater for their limited mobility but still took us to some great places with beautiful scenery. Ian was a very competent driver and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this tour.

Highlight of the week! - The tour was everything I was hoping for! A balanced variety of views, walks, watering holes and scenery down tucked away roads. Our guide (Ian) was friendly professional and knowledge. The highlight of our Holiday.

Fabulous experience, & a great host. - Our 4WD Adventure tour with Ian was absolutely fantastic! We loved the remoteness of his itinerary. The weather was a little wet & vision of high altitude areas wasn’t great, but the off the beaten track regions we visited were terrific, & Ian was a magnificent host whom tried so hard to make the day into something memorable & not overly commercialized or rushed. My wife & I highly recommend this touring opportunity.

A Really Brilliant 4x4 Trip around the Lakes. - This was by far the best experience that we had during our Lakeland holiday, we visited areas that we would never have been able to drive to in our own car and there was never a dull moment during the 4 hour drive, which includes a stop for refreshments and a couple of short walks to view waterfalls and a slate mine. Ian is an excellent driver with a charming personality and has a consummate knowledge of the area. The trip is exceptional value for the very reasonable cost and we have no hesitation whatsoever in highly recommending it.

Fantastic Lake District tour! - The trip was memorable, with magnificent scenery as well as lots of very young and cute lambs. We took tons of photos of the mountains and rivers, and especially enjoyed the walk into the slate cave. Our guide Ian was fantastic—he is very personable as well as informative. Also a very good driver, which is needed for the 4x4 route! I would very highly recommend this trip!

Extraordinary scenery and unique experience! - An unforgettable experience - seeing some of the most dramatic landscape in parts of the Lake District rarely visited by most visitors to the area. Ian is charming and friendly. He’s a safe driver and he knows the landscape well. Highly recommended.

4x4 tour of the lakes - Brilliant tour by Ian. We were taken to great view points, waterfalls, slate quarry and even drove through a ford which was half a meter deep! Off road drive was great. Certainly worth every penny. 2 of our group have mobility problems, but, Ian worked our programme around it making sure we got to see the places we wanted to and made sure we enjoyed every minute. Sturdy shoes are a must! Absolutely fantastic from start to finish

Fabulous!! - Absolutely fantastic day out - thank you so much Ian and Richard! The day was planned as a surprise for my birthday by my Partner, so I had no idea what we were doing or where we were going. Firstly we went on a 4 hour 4x4 trip round the Lake District discovering many hidden gems. During the day as Ian chatted to me he didn't let on that there was another surprise planned for me later in the day. We had so much fun, Ian is so lovely. We chatted, laughed and got to see many hidden secrets around the Lakes. When the tour finished, the next surprise was waiting for me - a 2 hour sail around Windermere with Richard the Skipper. Another fabulous trip - Richard was lovely and great fun. Not being a fan of water he put me at ease and made sure I was comfortable. The perfect way to celebrate turning a year older! A massive thank you for a day I will remember fondly. Highly recommend this unique experience for anyone visiting the Lakes! It's worth every penny!

Awesome tour and fun guide - Our guide Ian gave a wonderful tour of the surroundings of Windermere: up to the top of Kirkstone Pass, past many idyllic villages surrounded by sheep-filled fields, to an awe-inspiring slate-mine-cave and across steep gravel roads with fantastic views. Ian was a fun guide, great to chat with and took great care to accommodate requests for extra photo stops along the route. I would totally recommend this tour for any small group of people wanting to see a highlite reel of what Windermere has to offer.
