Some of the best food I have ever eaten. - This tour is amazing. It felt like we’re being shown around by a local celebrity, Eskerne, who knew everyone and had a great passion for the food and culture we’re being shown. Some of the very best food I have ever eaten coloured by really interesting detail of Doniesta as a place. Loved it, loved it, loved it.

Great Experience - We had a wonderful time and learned a lot about culture and the pintxos scene. It was very helpful to get insight on what to order and what to avoid. It also helped give us insight on the specialities of each bar as they are different. I’m glad we did the tour and felt that it was worth the time and money.

Fabulous guide and food! - We had a fabulous food and history tour with Eski! She is so full of life and knows all the best places to go - she was able to tailor the tour to our dietary requirements. No one can get a table quite like Eski. Cultural near birds-eye-view! - What a great introduction to the life and times of the San Sebastian and area culture! The guide, Eskerne Falcón, is congenial, cheerful and full of life! Her personal experience with virtually everything she told us and with every place she took us enriched our experience! We walked away feeling as though we had a deeper appreciation and understanding of the culture and lifestyle. Our group is still talking about it! Trust me when I tell you, Eskerne is a push-through person to give you the best possible experience you could ask for! And, expect lots of great photos! Thank you, dear Eskerne!

Pinxtos and more - What a great night in San Sebastián. My wife and I did this tour as way to dive into the pinxto bars in San Sebastián. Overall the evening could not have been any better. Of course the pinxtos were tasty , but our guide Eski made the experience fantastic. Sure we experienced great food and drinks, but we also learned some history, got to practice the proper Basque cider pouring technique, and met some great people. Would 100% recommend.

Nearly perfect - Esky was a blast! - Guide Eskerne ( ok to call her “Esky”… even for Aussies!) was an informative, friendly and engaging host who genuinely attempted to provide her own insights and nuances into her presentations/information “spiels”. Her ability to roll with the flow of conversations and myriad personalities - and even put up with moi - was exemplary and contributed to the fun of it all. We rarely do organised tours, but found the nature of the arrangements to be more than acceptable. Gave a very high rating (on our scale); the only factor which led to the score, was that several of the establishments did not provide acceptable seating for the group (9 + guide) or even “standing tables” to rest drinks/plates etc. For a world-ranking food city and experience, at a not insignificant tariff, this fell a little short of expectations, for a “perfect” tour and experience. Otherwise, thoroughly enjoyed and recommendable.
