- Aquazoo Loebbecke Museum - The art museums in Düsseldorf enjoy an international reputation, but the darling of the public is the Aquazoo Löbbecke Museum in the Nordpark.
Everything has been happening in, under and above water since 1987. From stingrays to shredded fish, from penguins to sharks, 500 species are gathered. The theme of evolution is the common thread that runs through the building, which reopened in 2017 after extensive renovation: the tour tells the story of living things from their formation in water, their spread in the sea, the conquest of fresh water to the settlement of all habitats on land. The Aquazoo has received multiple awards from the UN for its own amphibian protection and breeding station, in which various endangered animals were cared for and in some cases successfully propagated.
