Additional Information

The history of Dubrovnik is intimately connected with its nautical past. The most authentic way to experience it is by embarking on a special cruise aboard the Karaka, an accurate replication of a 16th century vessel. Come, explore Dubrovnik, often referred to as the ‘Jewel of the Adriatic’. Journey through periods of times, as you marvel at the scenic shrine of Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque styled monasteries, palaces, churches, and fountains, a living testimony to this city’s UNESCO World Heritage status.

The exclusive journey commences from Port Gruz, where you’ll get a glimpse into the past through our time-honored cuisine - candied almonds, sugar coated orange peels, ‘mantala’, ‘smokvenjak’ and more. On a 45-minute voyage to the Old City, our tour guides will regale you with tales of the grand maritime history of the Republic of Ragusa. One and a half hour of guided walking tour will take you through Dubrovnik’s most prominent spots. Here, we’ll allow you to delve into the memory of the Republic as we narrate the seamless tales of the city’s history and its triumphant independence. Let’s toast to the city we affectionately call Dubrovnik.

  • Please note that in case the weather conditions on the sea are too dangerous, the tour will be rescheduled or cancelled.

Worth taking the tour - We enjoyed the Karaka ship tour very much. The captain and the crew gave us an unique experience and an unforgettable memory. The walking tour with Ana was one of the best ad-on. She opened up her tour with a lot of stories and she introduced us to the city. We learned a lot from the tour and love the city even more.

Karaka Dubrovnik tour - A great crew who are very friendly and professional. The ship is fantastic but the best part was our tour guide Darko who was extremely knowledgeable on all of Dubrovnik history and communication in English was great. The first part of the tour was sailing from Gruz port around to old town and then a walking tour through the old town. The family really enjoyed this experience and we highly recommend it.

Very nice trip to Cavtat - Whilst staying in Dubrovnik, we always try to get out and about. The area has so much to offer. This visit was a corporate trip and the organisers booked the lunch cruise on the Galleon ship which took us to Cavtat. The food was lovely and it was all fresh simple but very nice. Salads, chicken, spicy lamb kebab, hot risotto. It was served buffet style and was enjoyed by all. They had duo walking around the ship and it provided much fun, singing along. The coast line from Dubrovnik to Cavtat is stunning and the views are exceptional. The company do a variety of cruises at various times, they can also cater for corporate groups as they did in our case. Cavtat is a lovely little harbour town, down the coast, it’s worth a trip just to see what the other resorts have to offer as an alternative to Dubrovnik. You may like it and return there again on future visits to Croatia.
