Additional Information

On this tour lasting 8 hours, you’ll get the opportunity to explore St Andrews, the Birthplace of Golf, and some of the exciting places en route.

Beginning our journey from Edinburgh, our initial stop will be at South Queensferry, the entrance town to Fife and St Andrews.

As we traverse the Firth of Forth, our subsequent stop is at Dunfermline Abbey, the interment site of historic Scottish Monarchs.

We’ll also take a detour to the Birthplace of Andrew Carnegie, who was once the wealthiest man globally.

Making a short stop at a quaint coastal fishing village, we’ll then proceed towards St Andrews.

Upon arrival in St Andrews, your driver/cicerone will guide you around the town, pointing out notable sites. You’ll have the freedom to stroll the Old Course and capture a picture at the Swilcan Bridge, akin to a pro. You’ll also have time to meander around the beautiful grounds of St Andrews Cathedral, the University or simply treat yourself to a delightful lunch or some shopping in this lovely town.

After exploring St Andrews, we will commence our journey back towards Edinburgh.

The best tour guide in Edinburgh. Andy is the nicest and most knowledgeable guy in town. - We were 6 people with varying interests. Andy spent months emailing me options and working with us to create the perfect trip. We ended up with 6 days trips since everything he suggested sounded wonderful. Andy picked us up every morning from our air bnb And dropped us at night. He had an itinerary but was always flexible when we asked for a detour or a request to stay longer in an area to relax or have a nice lunch or shop. He arranged for all lunches at wonderful non touristy places. His personality was lovely. I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed spending time with him. Friendly and knowledgeable are 2 adjectives to describe him. I would recommend him with 10 stars if that was an option. Thank you Andy for a very memorable and wonderful trip.

Best experience in Scotland - Andy our guide was amazing. He made our trip unforgettable. It was truly an amazing day and the highlight of our 8 day trip. He was so accommodating and patient with our group of 6. The stop at Dunfermline Abbey was breathtaking. Of course, St Andrews did not disappoint. Only 1 out of our group of 6 is a golfer and still say this tour was hands down the best! If you get Andy, you will be guaranteed an amazing day.

Great Edinburgh Guide - Andy of Edinburgh cab tours gave us a great tour that he customized to our requests. We saw everything that we wanted and more. Very easy going and knowledgeable and he knew all the unique out of the way places to get great photos. Overall an excellent guide that I would highly recommend! We will be using him again on our next trip to Scotland.

Great Tour Guide - Our Hero who Saved Our Vacation! - This review is late in coming. We toured in August of 2019. I'm not sure what to say other than Andy was the best tour guide we've had and he was instrumental in saving us from missing our train from Edinburgh to Birmingham. He was down to earth and easy to talk to about anything really. He was flexible in allowing us to take this tour and adjust things to fit our schedule. He made suggestions on the fly. He ate lunch with us which we enjoyed immensely. When we were at our final stop, in St. Andrews. He was checking google maps to ensure we were on track to get back to Edinburgh in time for us to make our train to Bham when he noticed a wreck blocking traffic. He suggested we cut our trip to St. Andrews short to ensure we make it back. As we finished up our last bit of site seeing, he noticed the traffic was totally blocked and while on the way back suggested we take the train near St. Andrews back to Edinburgh. It took him 6 hours to get back to Edinburgh. He even offered to refund our money. No way were we going to take our money back after all he did to ensure we not only had a great experience but that the rest of our journey was saved by his quick thinking! Thanks Andy! Hope to tour with you again one day.
