Additional Information

Join our small group tour for a picturesque journey through the Cotswolds, designated as an exceptionally scenic location renowned for its historic towns, undulating landscapes, indulgent cream teas, sheep, and unusual architecturally decorative buildings. It’s one of the UK’s top tourist destinations, and regardless of the season, we’ll explore some of its most attractive features from London, within a day’s travel.

Our first destination will be Burford, the town frequently referred to as the ‘Gateway to the Cotswolds.’ It’s an ancient market town nestled by the River Windrush that bends around a historic medieval church with a compelling past. We then tour an assortment of villages like Bibury, known for its Trout Farm and the charming old buildings of Arlington Row.

Our journey continues through quaint villages nearby, including Bourton on the Water. Later, we’ll stop at the iconically famous Broadway Tower, presenting breath-taking views of the surrounding rural landscapes. We then round off the day savouring traditional cream tea.

Good choice of villages, excellent commentary - Michel was such a excellent guide, so much information and yet funny too. We had good amount of time for locations overall and cream tea was a nice ending for the day . Michel even had patience with my son, 4 year old youngest traveller of the day, although he was sometimes bit unruly inside the minibus. Thank you for a fantastic day out, my relatives over from Finland enjoyed their very English experience.

Cotswold tour with Broadway tower and cream tea in May 2024 - Originally, we were booked on a different day, but it was not run because of lack of people. The tour company, kindly arranged for a different day, which worked out for us. The pick up was very smooth at Earls Court station. The coach was comfortable, the driver was excellent and the tour guide gave us a nice commentary. She was also very personable. (Kirsten). We saw several of the very pretty Cotswold villages, and had ample time for refreshments and sightseeing. The cream tea at the end of the day was in a beautiful manor house hotel, and was, very delicious. A huge surprise was the Broadway tower, which was furnished with beautiful antique pieces, and of course, offered a spectacular view from the top of the tower. It was pretty easy to go up and down the spiral staircase. The day was almost 12 hours, but overall didn’t feel too long.

Very good experience - Highly recommended. Small group. Everything is very punctual. The guide is friendly and does not become annoying, they do not try to sell you things and the time in each town is what is necessary. We loved it!

The best of quintessential England - in just one day! - I've done several tours with Anderson over the years and this was another wonderful day out! Our guide Brendon was hilarious and kept us entertained all day, whisking us around the gorgeous and idyllic villages of the Cotswolds. If you want to explore this beautiful corner of the country and have limited time to do so, this tour is perfect for you! Oh, and the cream tea? Delicious!

Lovely day in the Cotswolds - This was a great way to get out of London and see the English countryside! Our driver/tour guide, Brendan, was fabulous. He was very knowledgable and got us to and from London safely. He was very accommodating. Would highly recommend this tour..

Lovely, calm day out away from London - We enjoyed lovely weather. The Cotswolds are incredibly beautiful. Since we had a mini bus we were able to go to places the larger groups could not. The cream tea was enjoyed on the lawn of a former manor home of a nice hotel.

Very underwhelmed - Firstly, this tour said ‘small group’ but it was a full bus of fifty people! But the worst was 3 screaming little babies/kids! Not exactly a kid tour- but it made everyone on the bus crazy! Two hours each way plus bt towns. These kind of tours should not allow kids under twelve, or at least charge them full price to deter these kind of stupid parents bringing kids along and wrecking it for everyone else. Also, the longer time for lunch should have been on the second stop, as we didn’t get to eat till after two and we were all starving! Really couldn’t wait to get off the bus at the end, and most others felt the same way.
