Our walking tours allow you to bypass typical historical tours and explore the city from a local’s point of view. Enjoy a journey that changes the way you travel, making it as much about the individuals you encounter as it is about the destinations you visit. Our native guides (Lokafyers) are avid about their city and keen to impart their knowledge and viewpoint. Since Lokafyers aren’t professional guides and conduct tours sporadically, they offer an experience that is genuine and personal, akin to a friend guiding you through their city. By the conclusion of your tour, you’ll have the confidence to navigate the city yourself and the assurance that you possess all the information necessary to optimise your stay.
- Lokafy tours provide a general overview of the city with practical information from a local’s perspective, not detailed historical facts
- In case travellers would like to include a visit to an attraction, they would need to cover the cost of entrance for themselves and also the Lokafyer (local guide)
- Tours are entirely personalized, please provide the start time, meeting place and information about you so that we can organize the tour
- This is a walking tour. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes
- Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately

Travelers can request the tour to start from any centrally located hotel. In case your hotel is outside the city center we will select a convenient meeting point in the city center.Tour may end at a different location from the departure point unless requested in advance of the tour.

Famous for a very good reason - worth a visit. - We had a delightful day in Heidelberg - staying at a hotel near the Alte Brucke which was fun - so easy to walk around the old city. Most of our day was spent at the Heidelberg Castle which is very worth doing. Beware of coming at holidays or other busy times. Parking can be a real challenge.

Tour of old Heidelberg - The tour guide was very helpful. Showed me the things I wanted to see. Helped me get to the train station after the tour was over. Would gladly use again.

We got more than we asked for! - I would say our most memorable aspect of the tour was our guide - Anahi was not only gracious and knowledgeable, she was flexible, down to earth, and a delight. Our tour was a successful, fun time because she was so present to our hopes and spontaneities. Thank you!

Great personal experience - Vince was fantastic! This was done through Lokafy, so the itinerary is highly customizable. We walked around the city, he showed me the university, and we grabbed a drink as well. It was a fantastic personal experience
If you want to see the city and the castle, I'd recommend doing at least 4 hours. You can also do the castle on your own.

Martina was amazing!!!! - Heidelberg was amazing, didn't expect to see such beauty! But even more amazing was Martina. She went out of her way communicating with us prior to tour, extremely knowledgeable of the city and history, and even stayed later than the tour hours dropping us at a great dinner place. She was personable and caring. I would rate her 120 on a 100 scale!

Average tour - Need more accurate, interesting facts and historical information about the area. We found out more about the town by Goggling it after. The guide was friendly talkative but not value for money.
