Excellent tour with Lien - We had such a great experience with Lien. We really enjoyed trying all the local food and drinks. We would have never found or discovered anything without her! Not only does she have great experience with food but also history! We talked about many subjects and really enjoyer our time. I highly recommend, you will not be disappointed! I have done other food tours via other sites and this was by far the best.

A culinary delight - We enjoyed a lovely morning with Manh. Before our tour she provided us with a variety of options to eat, details of where to meet her and the best means of getting there. It is about 40 minutes by car. We then enjoyed a stroll around the local market and the different fields, where she explained the various crops and how each might be used in different dishes. Preparing the meals was fun and certainly made me as a non cook realise how much more preparation goes into Vietnamese cooking. Everything was beautiful. I have never had pineapple in my soup before but like everything else it tasted perfect. Manh was a most gentle and very gracious host. We highly recommend for anyone wanting a genuine experience.

Not Anne from Arrested Development - Anne was super knowledgeable about many topics (not just the food) and wildly enthusiastic about all the foods we sampled (as well as being an authority on US and UK tv) - had a great time and highly recommend!

Great cooking class experience! - Great experience! We got a tour of the farmers markets, where Manh explained what goes on in a day to day in Vietnam, and we also got a tour of her vegetable farm by her home. She got us to help her cook some delicious traditional vietnamese food which was so fresh and tasted amazing! Would recommend to anyone wanting to immerse themselves in vietnamese culture! We also originally booked for 4 people, one of our group couldnt make it last minute and Manh was kind enough to refund her :)

Spectacular Hanoi with Lien - The food tour was first in our itinerary, and what a way to welcome us to Hanoi! There is nothing like food with Lien to make us fall in love with this city in all its vibrance and zest. Lien was knowledgeable and a thorough professional. And what we love about her even more was she loved this city and wanted us to see it through her eyes. She took us to places we never would have known or tried. Lien tells the most hilarious stories too. She’s a great listener and an incredible conversationalist. Really– what a spectacular welcome to Hanoi. Thank you, Lien! And we hope to see you in the future.

Walking street food tour - We met Lien at the designated area and after introductions she proceeded to take us to places we probably wouldn’t have stopped at. The food was delicious, the explanation of why she chose the location and how the food is prepared were above our expectations. Lien conducted the tour at a lovely place and was flexible to some of our requests. At the conclusion we had eaten our selves stupid & certainly didn’t bother with dinner that evening. Lien is a legend & I’d certainly go on one of her tours again.

Delicious! Customized! Delightful! - What an excellent way to spend time in Hanoi and open us up to so much more of the wonderful world of street food and culture there. Lien was excellent! Prompt, efficient, friendly, responsive, informative, fun… I could go on! We covered a lot of ground and ate really well. I was worried it would be too much food or too heavy, but she had us try the perfect amount and it was a lot of fresh, light food too, which suited our preferences. I don’t drink alcohol so she made sure to take us to a local juice bar for a special Vietnamese beverage in addition to the refreshing beer for my boyfriend. We discovered new favorite foods and got tips on trying others. Lien is a fantastic guide! So good in fact we booked her for the Hidden Gems city tour a few days later.

Ruby’s food tour rocks - Highly recommend Ruby as a tour guide. Our food tour was terrific. Ruby customized the tour to exactly what we had hoped to get out of a food tour of a country we have never been to. As we walked from one location to the next she would also give us a history lesson.

Good Vietnamese street food experience - Hoa willingly accommodated our big group of 16 people and even extended our tour time since it is slower moving about with our big group and upon our request, she patiently waited for us to be ready because we had to finish our hotel arrangements. Hoa is friendly, easy to talk to and speaks English well. She took us around 6 hidden & authentic local dining places we wouldn't have discovered. We especially liked the pho, various desserts and fried shrimp fritters. We also had a taste of the creamy egg coffee from the original place where it was created (Cafe Dinh), banh mi, fresh spring roll, and various fried food. Along the way, Hoa pointed out places of interest. Overall, it was a good introduction to Vietnamese street food in places where locals eat.
