Beautiful day photos - Exceptional day. The jeep that transported us was careful on the rough road. Stop in a village in the desert, welcome by the village chief and departure for the sunset in the dunes, absent of humans, only gazelles in the distance

Highly recommended - This was a really positive and memorable experience. The very friendly owner took us to the jeep, where the driver, Sagad was waiting. He was very informative about life in the desert, and also very funny, as he drove us out into the desert with a couple of stops on the way. We met our camels and guide and rode out to the dunes. The guide, Prakash, made a brushwood fire and started cooking when we got there. A family of gypsy musicians arrived and we attempted to make conversation round the fire with the help of google translate. Once it was dark they played music on 'snake-charmer' pipe and tambourine and sang, with one of the girls dancing. Amazing rhythms and very special to see this in close-up. The music was only interrupted by the very good vegetarian food which Prakash had managed to knock up in the dark over a real fire. We had chosen to go back to Jaisalmer by jeep rather than sleep in the desert (it was cold!) and got back around ten. Although it's obviously set up for tourists, the whole experience felt human-to-human rather than just a tourist transaction, and very interesting to glimpse the hard desert life in this part of Rajasthan. All in all, I'd absolutely recommend this.

Good expeience - The tour was really good. We were picked up outside the tour's office and taken to a rural village and had some tea. They then took us to some interesting places around the desert . We then were given a chose of going on a camel or in the jeep, my husband went on the camel and I stayed in the jeep. We met further up the desert and the men set up camp. I deiced that I wanted to try a camel ride but was a bit nervous but the camel man was very good and I had a little ride. The food was good and the sunset was stunning. We were there until dark and then was driven to Jaismer later in the night. I would recommend ther tour as it orgained by the local people who are very friendly.
