- Mt. Waialeale - Mount Waiʻaleʻale /ˌwaɪˌɑːleɪˈɑːleɪ/ is a shield volcano and the second highest point on the island of Kauaʻi in the Hawaiian Islands. Its name literally means “rippling water” or “overflowing water”.[1]
The mountain, at an elevation of 5,148 feet, averages more than 373 inches of rain a year since 1912, with a record 683 inches in 1982; its summit is one of the rainiest spots on earth. Numerous waterfalls are visible by airplane.
- Na Pali Coast State Park - Nāpali Coast State Wilderness Park lies in the northwest of Kauai Island, Hawaii. It’s known for its towering pali, or sea cliffs, punctuated by narrow valleys, streams and cascading waterfalls. This is the crown jewel of Kauai.
- Waimea Canyon State Park - Waimea Canyon, also known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, is a large canyon, approximately ten miles long and up to 3,000 feet deep, located on the western side of Kauaʻi. Waimea is Hawaiian for “reddish water”, a reference to the erosion of the canyon’s red soil.
- Wailua Falls - Wailua Falls is a waterfall on the island of Kauai. The 173 foot falls are located on the South Fork Wailua River near Lihue. The waterfall is prominently featured on the opening credits of the television series Fantasy Island.
- Hanalei Bay - Hanalei Bay is the largest bay on the north shore of Kauaʻi island in Hawaii that consists of nearly 2 miles of beach, surrounded by mountains. This a magnificent view from an airplane.
- Manawaiopuna Falls (Jurassic Park Falls) - Manawaiopuna Falls is a waterfall in the Hawaiian Islands, located in Hanapepe Valley on Kauai Island. It is 400 ft tall. It was featured in the background of several scenes in the 1993 Steven Spielberg film Jurassic Park.

Worth every penny! - Such a great experience, I highly recommend doing this tour… you see places you can’t see by car! The pilot was great! Super friendly and very knowledgeable!

Just Do The Flight!! - We had an awesome private flight! We loved every minute, and our pilot, Justin, was a great tour guide. We really enjoyed chatting with him during our flight. We got to see some beautiful areas of Kauai that we wouldn’t otherwise have seen. I took so many photos! And we noticed as we were waiting to board the plane that the workers go and clean the inside and outside of the windows on the planes to make sure you can take great photos. Definitely worth the price, and a must-do if you’re on the island! Just a note: if the parking lot is full, go to the desk and they’ll give you a parking pass for the lot next door.

Fantastic views & experience - This was an amazing experience and perfect way to see the island! We didn’t have a lot of time in Kauai so seeing it all by air was perfect and we really felt we got to see all the beauty it has to offer this way! Check in and arrival was super seamless and our flight guide was fantastic. We got gorgeous pictures from the large windows.

Great views! - The views were spectacular! It’s so interesting to see the island from the air. The pilot was very knowledgeable about the island and very friendly. He was very kind when I got a little airsick.

What an incredible experience - Our pilot was smart, funny, and also gave us some great recommendations of places to eat and see while on the island.
I was hesitant as this is a plane, and not a helicopter, but we saw everything, and the whole island was breathtaking 5 Stars

Flying tour of Kauai, Hawaii. - This was an amazing tour. James, our pilot was professional, personable and very knowledgeable. We had a spectacular tour, the weather was beautiful, the scenery was gorgeous, almost a sensory overload. I can recommend Air Ventures whole heartedly. You will have a wonderful time. Everyone at Air Ventures were great. 5 stars.

They cancel last minute and leave you with nothing to do! - I booked a private luxury air tour of Kauai with Air Ventures, attracted by the promise of an exclusive experience for up to six passengers with a weight limit of 1100 pounds. My husband and I, both tall and muscular men weighing a total of 600 pounds, were looking forward to this unique opportunity to see the island from above.
Unfortunately, our anticipation turned to disappointment when Air Ventures canceled our flight less than 15 hours before the scheduled departure. The reason provided was “weight and balance” issues, despite our combined weight being well within the stated limit on their website.
The last-minute cancellation left us with no viable alternatives to fill our day, as it was too late to make other arrangements. This was particularly disheartening as the booking was made a month in advance, and we had no prior indication that there would be any issue with our flight.
While I understand that safety must come first, the timing of the cancellation and the lack of a satisfactory explanation or compensation have left a negative impression on our experience. It is my hope that Air Ventures will address these communication issues to prevent future disappointments for other customers.
