ESSENTIAL ALASKA ADVENTURE! This is one of the top-rated excursions along the stunning Inside Passage of Alaska. Gain insights into the lifestyle of a professional fisherman from individuals who have braved the harsh Bering Sea. These professionals are genuine! You’ll be onboard Aleutian Ballad, a vessel showcased on the Discovery Channel’s widely watched series, Deadliest Catch. Travel through the tranquil, safe channels of the Inside Passage under the guidance of a seasoned crew, watching as a variety of marine animals are trapped and brought on deck. The catch is then kept in a live tank for viewing before being returned to the wild. Get ready to witness king crab, box crab, octopus, rockfish, prawns, and more. If you’re lucky, you might glimpse local creatures like sea lions and porpoises. This tour is globally recognized for its extraordinary wild eagle sightings.

Up close to a ton of bald eagles - This is a must see. Captain and crew was great. We went in may when there was a ton of bald eagles that came down to the side of the ship for close to 15 minutes eating the fish that was being thrown into the water. Was by far the best excursion we did on our Alaska cruise.

Capt Charles #1 - Capt. Charles was an absolute beast! Knew where the whales were took us to see sea lions and Orca's on the way back to Port! 6 person trip was the best. Charles if you read this, how about Whaleon Jennings or Fluke Skywalker!

Wonderful excursion for cruise ship passengers! - Loved this excursion. We were coming off the NCL Bliss and traveled with folks who had booked through them. It was great to save some money. The trip was amazing! Friendly and knowledgeable crew, learned the history of the boat, saw amazing eagles catching fish mid air, got to hold several sea animals including snow crabs, ate 2 lbs. of red king crab on the boat and it was fantastic. We highly recommend this trip!

What a great day! - WOW!! What an amazing excursion this was! We were on the Carnival Luminosa out of Seattle and booked this for our short day in Ketchikan and it did not disappoint. All of the crew were awesome. We learned so much about the inner workings of the crabbing life, while getting a very brief glimpse of it. Bald eagles, crabs, octopus oh my! We saw it all. My husband purchased some king crab in the galley and he loved every morsel. They had merch, food, snacks, coffee and cocoa for purchase and we got to take pics with the guys. Everyone is so humble and kind. I highly recommend.

Best Excursion, worth the $$$ - One of the highlights of our trip to Alaska! The Eagles touched our soul, will never forget the majesty of those regal birds, thank you for the time you all spent with them. Who knew my crew would LOVE handling the crab, starfish and creepy stuff you passed around! Everyone was so friendly and informative, the stories they shared with us touched our lives. We all enjoyed the excursion from the youngest to the oldest, would go again and again and surely be blessed! Thank you! Bought the book, the crab meal, jacket, tshirt and the shot glass. LoL

A must do excursion. - I have to begin by thanking you all, Captain Dave, Dave Timmerman, Melissa, and Dennis. It's evident you are all passionate about your jobs. We were fortunate enough to catch a quick glimpse of a humpback whale. I appreciated hearing all of your heartfelt stories about your paths to ending up on the Aleutian Ballad. This was one of my favorite excursions and well worth it. And Dennis, it's nice to know that you take the time to personally read all of the reviews.

Favourite tour of all time - Absolutely incredible tour! Dave, Captain Dave, Big D and the girls delivered a tour that was above and beyond what we expected. You get up close and personal with the wildlife and being that close to eagles in the wild is a memory of a lifetime. The crew are so friendly, entertaining and informative, they think of your every need and comfort. The boat is really nice too, providing a gift shop, little cafe and restrooms. There are plenty of viewing areas to see the amazing views of the coastline as we traveled to different stops to catch fish, shrimp, crabs and even octopus. It was so entertaining!
