Good quality excursion - An excellent trip with an informative guide. Messaging before the trip was great and we were picked up on time. Our driver was brilliant and then when we got to the camps the guide stayed with us throughout the trip Everything was an advertised The trip was a reminder of what had happened in the war and the atrocities and all was explained in a sympathetic manner

Well organised poignant tour - I’m really glad we booked this tour as it totally took the stress out of organising this trip. It was an early start, setting off at 7:15 and it takes about 90 mins to get to Auschwitz. They played a video on the way there which set the grim, somber tone that I think was needed. You visit Auschwitz first with a guided tour and then there’s a short break for lunch before going to Birkenau. We took them up on the offer of a packed lunch and were pleased we did as there’s not really an opportunity to buy food there. It was an awesome lunch - ham and cheese roll with crisps, croissant, choccie bar, two pieces of fruit and a couple of drinks. Well worth the money. The guide was really good and the whole thing felt very organised. I expected it to be a bit more like a museum than it was, but I appreciate them not doing this. They’ve kept it more as a memorial to those that suffered and died and it felt like a place of respect and reflection. It was an emotional journey to see what horrors mankind can commit.

Well organised trip to Auschwitz & Auschwitz-Birkenau. - Smooth, problem free trip from start to finish. Booked this trip through TripAdvisor after reading the reviews for my 14 year old son and I. Communication was excellent through WhatsApp from Thomas. He send us details of our closest pick up/drop off point to our hotel (which was a 6 minute walk from our hotel). Thomas also messaged us about proving a lunch box (extra cost), but we elected to buy our own food the previous day from the many corner shops around Kraków. We were collected at 705 am from the meeting point is a silver grey Mercedes minibus by Thomas. There was one more collection point after ours resulting in about 12 passenger (including ourselves) for the trip. A 1hr 30 minute journey through nice countryside (with an informative historical documentary being played on the minibus tv system) and we were at Auschwitz. Thomas was met by our female English speaking tour guide, we were given yellow stickers (for our tops to identify our group), our entry tickets and shown into the airport style security at the main reception. After our bags/belongings and ourselves being scanned, a quick toilet stop and then we walked into a room and given headphone and receiver packs. Our female guide (apologies I didn't get her name), made sure we were all on the same channel before commencing the tour. The tour was approximately three hours around Auschwitz which took in the majority of the camp and some of the buildings. All the while our guide telling us the history and the relevance of what we were looking at or what the building that we were in was used for. She was extremely respectful of the surroundings and with the information she passed us. When the tour ended, we handed in our headphones and reception packs, another toilet stop and back to the mini bus for lunch (15 - 20minutes). After a seven mile journey, we arrived at Auschwitz Birkenau. We parked in the car park and a short walk to the entrance of the Birkenau camp. Again, we were met by our female English speaking guide who took us through the entrance and into the camp. She showed us around the camp, telling us the history, what we were looking at and the function of each of the buildings, landmarks etc. This took approximately 1 hour. We then made our way back to the minibus. The return journey, again, took approximately 1hr 30 minutes. Thomas asked which of the three meeting/drop off points we each wanted to be dropped off. We elected for the same point we were collected from. However, you could elect for one of the other two points, if you had more siteseeing or shopping to do. Tips for the trip:- 1. Wear comfortable supportive footwear. Alot of the ground is uneven around both camps. You will do alot of walking! The stairs in alot of the buildings are uneven, being worn down from all the visitors. 2. Passports - you need to take them with you for entry into both camps. 3. Bags - please check the official website for the size of bags allowed through into Auschwitz. Larger bags, coats, lunch etc can be kept on the minibus. Overall, a very smooth and well organised trip to Auschwitz and Auschwitz Birkenau.

A must do tour - It’s a must do visit, the tour takes about 3.5hours over 2 sites, you need to take photo ID to gain entry with your tickets as you go through what can only be described as airport security. Take a snack as there are only vending machines for coffee and crisps etc which are expensive. The tour is very humbling and informative, the guides very knowledgable.

A must Do in Krakow/Poland - Did this in January 2023. A very Sad Tour but the tour guide was amazing. Definitely a must do when in Poland. Very educational.

Gone But Not Forgotten - RAIN slashed down and soaked us as we walked through a slice of Hell where the Nazis murdered more than a million people. The camps at Auschwitz and Auschwitz-Birkenau in Poland specialised in killing on an industrial scale with death sentences handed out to inmates for something as trivial as not walking fast enough. We had to negotiate heavy security to even get into what is now a museum and a memorial. There were ticket scans, metal scans and ferocious warnings that photography was forbidden in certain places. Our English-speaking guide made sure we kept together as a group and there was a very strict regime about what places we went to and in what order. In a period of a few hours we saw photos of human beings weighing barely 20kg, an entire corridor lined with photos of the dead and numerous tiny boarded areas where five people slept on their sides because they only had 30cm of space each. There were vast soul-destroying display areas containing mountains of suitcases, enormous mounds of human hair or tens of thousands of pairs of shoes taken from those arriving in a steady stream of cattle trucks at the railway station. After a short while our senses became deadened out of sheer self-preservation. The steel bar we walked by wasn’t part of the goal frame in some macabre football game but where mass hangings were carried out because it was quicker. There was a little heater in guard huts to keep soldiers from freezing to death in minus 20C. The inmates got a stove in a hut which might be home to 700 people wearing striped pyjama-like clothing. A death wall where prisoners were shot had special bricks in it to prevent bullets bouncing back and killing the guards while some paintings and sketches by prisoners were too horrific to detail here. Bad enough on a sunny day, the atmosphere in a keen wind and torrential rain was far too realistic. How must the inmates have felt as they stripped in the open air to go down for their showers....only to be gassed. Our guide was continuous. She took us through Auschwitz and then rejoined us for a tour of Auschwitz-Birkenau just over a kilometre away. This colossal camp dwarfed Auschwitz and covered an area the size of 370 football pitches. Jagged teeth rose up on either side of the railway tracks bringing people to their deaths. These teeth were brick chimneys, the only remains from hundreds of wooded huts used to house inmates. Teeming rain and strong winds greeted us as we forced our way to the bottom of the site to see a memorial to the dead and unfeeling politicians. When an artist was approached to create a memorial here his submitted plans were altered so much by communist regime politicians that he didn’t recognise his original design. I could go on about the atrocities in both camps but I will end with just one more death. The last person to be hanged from a large hook in the original Auschwitz camp was its commandant, Rudolf Hoss. He died in 1947. This was the same year that the first museum at Auschwitz opened. Its guides and staff were all former inmates. To lighten the mood a little, it was a very well organised tour with multiple chances to use clean and well-kept toilets, to visit book shops and even a tiny cafe counter for snacks, coffee, water and other items. Don’t miss a chance to experience this shocking piece of human history. It is both an exercise in despair and a warning to never let it happen again. You won’t enjoy it. No-one should.

Amazing.. Awesone guide. - Driver picked us up on the dot from hotel.. Nice hour drive from krakow.. We had a fantastic guide. Dont remember her name but she was excellent.. Would definitely recommend this tour👍👍

100% would recommend - Driver was super helpful & friendly. Picked us up from outside our hotel on time & spoke perfect english. Have chosen this company before for different excursions and will 100% get them again when visiting Krakow.

Superb tour. - From start to finish this tour was outstanding. For obvious reasons it was an emotional and shocking day but a part of history that should never be forgotten. Our tour guide was fantastic (sorry, I cannot remember her name), the way she explained everything gave us a clear understanding. I took my teenage girls with me and they didn't want to say they 'enjoyed' the trip due to the nature of Auschwitz but it certainly will stay with us for a very long time. The communication and organisation of this company means we highly recommend them. many thanks for such an informative day. We went in December 2019 before Covid. Posting this review late. Sorry.

Something everyone needs to see - Obviously, this is not an uplifting tour. It is the worst of the worst of what humans are capable of. However, I felt the tour was very safe… it did not provide a very strong perspective of the camp. We were told what buildings were and what key events happened and what some of the camp processes were. General info from a high school history book. I’ve been to other tours at concentration camps and felt that each of them, especially Dachau, did a much better job of educating about what happened there and how/why it worked, with insights and explanations that can only be understood while standing in the camp. Each of these tour leaves the tourist depressed and wondering how places so evil exist, but I felt the Auschwitz tour was very safe and sanitized.
