Additional Information

Strap on your hiking boots and venture into the wilds of Cambodia! Tucked away off the usual path, you can find the secluded Kbal Spean, home to the ‘River of Thousand Lingas’ and a majestic cascading waterfall. Ascending to Kbal Spean’s summit to marvel at the delicately carved channels in the stone demands navigating a somewhat challenging slope, but rest assured
– the trail is frequently traveled and the larger rocks and hurdles have been bypassed with sturdy, well-kept wooden stairways. However, prepare for a trek through the jungle spanning 3km that calls for a fair degree of physical fitness.
After descending, you’ll encounter the charming little temple of Banteay Srei, celebrated for its intricate craftsmanship on soft pink sandstone. This gem, built toward the end of the 10th century, is notably compact and stands out from other Angkorian temples in style and aesthetic. Completing your journey, consider stopping at Banteay Samre
– a more expansive temple that’s often missed by travelers, yet bathed in stunning late-afternoon sunlight.

fun with hike to waterfall - Hiking to thousand Shivaliga is fascinating but there are few things to be seen because of much water. Anyway, the small waterfall is amazing. We love this trip.
