Amazing trip through beautiful iSimangaliso - We did this day trip as part of a 3 night / 4 day package with Heritage tours. May is a great time to visit as it’s relatively quiet. As a result we were lucky enough to have the whole truck and Theo the guide to ourselves, which was fantastic. Theo appears to know everything about KZN, its history, culture and of course the natural environment. ISimangaliso is an incredible wetlands park that is being re-wilded. It is beautiful! We drove through it to get to Cape Vidal where we swam in the ocean and snorkelled and had a delicious lunch prepared and cooked by Theo. On the way we saw Nyala, impala, crocodiles, water buffalo, wart hogs, rhino, hippos, tortoise, dozens of birds (all of which Theo could tell us about). Theo could not have been a more attentive guide. My younger daughter did not want to visit the beach so she stayed with Theo while he prepared lunch and he told her all about Zulu culture and even gave her a language lesson. She loved it. Huge thanks to Theo and the Heritage team. A truly memorable day and one of the highlights of our trip.

Fantastic day! Extremely enjoyable. - We had an amazing day, Keo (sorry if I've not spelt this correctly!) He was very knowledgeable and managed to be in the right place at the right time so often. We saw so much and really enjoyed ourselves! We had a fantastic lunch and a nice couple of hours on the beach (unfortunately the waves were a little too much to snorkel on this day, but we did have a swim and saw fish around us. The beach is amazing. Thankyou so much for a fantastic time!

Great ride with Kyle! - We had a lovely trip guided by a very friendly and knowledgeable guide, Kyle. We saw a variety of bucks and birds, buffalos, monkeys, wart hogs, hippos, a crocodile and 4 rhinos passed right next to our vehicle. It's also a first to have some time on the beach while on a game drive. Lovely food and lovely company. It was a great experience.

Cool Safari with Cool Guide - Pleasant tour with a great guide, even though we didn't see many animals, he was still able to tell us something about each one. He made the break by the sea and lunch very pleasant and you could also chat to him about general things.

Guides were great! - We booked this tour through our cruise line, this was a mistake, we should have booked directly. While it was very rainy and we got soaked the guides really tried their hardest to make the best of it. Our guide found animals for us to see and while we didn’t get to snorkel, the BBQ food was terrific. The conditions were not ideal and the cruise line should have canceled the whole thing, but we couldn’t be upset with the tour guides themselves. I would not recommend doing this on a rainy day

Just beautiful - This tour is definitely worthwhile in addition to the Hluhluwe tour. Wonderful grasslands and with Theo, a very competent guide. We particularly enjoyed his detailed comments on the culture, language and community life.
