We learned about the local significance of the sites, and nature surrounding them. She also integrated the important spirituality of these places. Highly suggest doing this tour!

An Ideal Day Trip, Definitely a One of a Kind Experience!!! - An absolute must! This was my favorite day of a week in Lisbon. I was traveling alone, but landed with a fantastic group of folks from Houston. Alexandra was our guide and as promised, is a true local. She took us to all the spots on the itinerary as well as some extra magical settings taking us there on some roads less traveled. Alex is brilliant with a deep well of knowledge. She shared some personal stories growing up in the area as well as taught us much Portuguese history. We had a fantastic lunch of traditional yet accessible food at an out of the way restaurant. This was an ideal day that made my trip. Thanks Alex for a fabulous and unforgettable experience! I highly recommend booking this tour!

Perfect Off beat tour of Sintra - Sintra was beautiful for me, thanks to Rafael. Incredible tour of Sintra and the Portugal coast - Rafael Silva was an amazing guide on our visit to Sintra and beyond. As a native of the area he not only showed us the prime sites in Sintra, he also shared parts of his hometown known only to locals. He provided us with the history of the area, showed us lesser known sites and took us to one of his favorite hometown restaurants where we enjoyed a delicious lunch. Going off-road to a spot with the most incredible views of the Portugal coast was an added bonus to a fantastic day!

Great day in Sintra - My husband and I went on this tour with Alexandra and we had an amazing time! She is a very warm and fun person and she made this experience extra special. We learned a lot about the history of Sintra and also what it was like to grow up and experience Sintra before it became a popular tourist destination. We really enjoyed each stop but for me most memorable were Quinta de Regaleira and Adraga beach. Also, we had a delicious lunch at a local restaurant that Alex visits herself frequently. I would recommend this experience to anyone who wants to get away from the crowds and see Sintra from the perspective of a local.

Avoid the crowds if you’re seeking an authentic experience - If you’re looking to get away from the crowds and see different sights that are just as meaningful to the story of Lisbon and its people, this is the tour for you. We only had one day to explore outside the Casco Antiguo and we didn’t want to compete with the hordes of people going to Cascais and Pena palace. Alexandra was a great guide and the sights were perfect.

From the Colares viewpoint and the familial warmth at Nafarros for lunch to the unspoiled beauty of Adraga Beach and a daring 4x4 track adventure to the breathtaking Alvidrar cliffs – every moment was a treasure unearthed. The enchanting peacefulness of Peninha forest offered a spiritual retreat, whilst a walk through Penedo Village offered a glimpse of life in the heartland of Portugal. Alex's approach clearly signals that guiding is not just a job to her - it's an honour and a responsibility. For me personally, this day was a reminder to put down the phone and truly experience a place, rather than merely visit it. A MUST see for a magical and personal experience! - This experience was truly the highlight of our Lisbon trip. If you are even considering seeing Sintra, you MUST do so with Alex and Rafael. Alex was our main guide, and she took us to so many special spots in her iconic VW van that we could have never found on our own. The whole time we were not only in awe of our surroundings, but of the personal and authentic experience we were getting. There was nothing conventional or boring about the tour, we felt engaged by her personal stories and historical facts. It was also great to be touring with a smaller group, as it allowed us more flexibility and adventure compared with other tours. We will be speaking about our experience with Alex in Sintra for years to come.
