Loved it! - What a fantastic place! Totally dog-friendly, we even got a bandana and dog treats on the way in! Free to walk around the extensive and beautiful grounds of the castle. We didn't have time to go into the other areas (only open at certain times) but were told they were also dog-friendly. Stunning views as well, and lovely people on site. Top class.

Unforgetable experience - We visited the castle, the guides were very attentive and very well trained, excellent explanation of the entire tour, they even explained the Holy Week of Lorca to us with great pleasure. We were very satisfied with the visit.

Enjoyable Day out at Lorca Castle. - Very well organised with knowledgeable staff who were helpful and happy to impart the history of the castle and area. Good value for the cost. Please note, this is NOT accessible or advisable for disabled. Many steps to climb inside towers to appreciate the views etc.

Well worth the visit. - Had a great ½ day out, paid to visit both towers and Jewish sector, although you can visit the grounds free of charge. Learned a lot from our visit, the staff are knowledgeable and the grounds are well kept. We had something to eat in the restaurant for lunch, we were surprised how good the food was and how cheap considering they have a captive audience. Pleased we went to visit as we usually only see it from the A7.

Fabulous - We were only in the castle, because I didn't expect it to be so big, beautiful and well preserved with fabulous views of Lorca.

Move around, there is nothing to see. - Apart from paying €7 to maintain this heritage, no interest to go. Included in the price was a visit to the small tower, where from the top we have a view of the entire region, but this one is far from being very beautiful, very arid. We were also supposed to visit the synagogue, but the opening hours were very limited (30 minutes), plus the signage was almost non-existent, so we arrived at 2:45 p.m., the gate was closed. As for the garden, it needs to be refreshed, some plants and flowers should be planted to make it more attractive. On the nice side, we were able to picnic near the restaurant, the area was not very clean, lots of papers, cigarette butts and empty bottles...

Arm yourself with patience. - The castle is beautiful but: Too much time between one visit and another. The spaces are closed, they only open them at specific times and if you have time left you get annoyed. I was going with my sister and my older mother, it started to rain and they forced us to wait more than half an hour in the rain to be able to see the archaeological park and the synagogue. We had to leave without being able to visit it, since it started to get cold and we couldn't wait in the rain. It is not worth buying the ticket, just seeing the surroundings is enough. In addition, the hours are half day to force you to go to the bar, they have it very very poorly organized.

Disappointment - It was disappointing, the viewing hours were 1:30 p.m., 2:15 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., they forced you to eat in the cafeteria. At reception they told us that it was very good, but the reality was that there were only 2 people serving and they were very slow. As a result, it took us 2 hours and we went at two o'clock, sacrificing the visit to the cistern to be able to see the Alfonsina tower, but we arrived 5 minutes before closing and they didn't let us see it. We complained at reception and they told us that they understood, but that the only thing they could do was refund us the money for that visit, a shame.
