Highlights
  • North Head Sanctuary - At Shelley Beach headland we stop for an Acknowledgement of Country, paying our respects to the Traditional Custodians of the area. We then proceed North into North Head Reserve (known as Car-rang-gel by the local Gayemagal people). Along the walk, we pass many beautiful sights across the ocean, ancient rock formations and unique flora and fauna. Often stopping to look for some wildlife along the way. During the walk, we will occasionally take a minute or 2 to walk in silence and just take in all of the sights and sounds around us.

We head next to Fairfax Lookout to look into the Harbour and see a spectacular view of Sydney City, here I will talk about the history of the area and Aboriginal Culture. We will pass through The Barracks and North Fort exploring the reason for the construction and its use during WWII, beginning our descent back down through Manly along the coastal track past the marine-protected Cabbage Tree Bay.

Followed by a gourmet picnic with local produce.
