Embark on a thrilling exploration of Etna. Our volcanological guides will take you to the hidden spots and share untold stories of the tallest volcano in Europe. From its vantage point, we’ll feast our eyes on the magnificent panorama offered by Europe’s loftiest volcano, while getting a peek into the core of the central crater.
- Mount Etna - Here we will start our trek that will allow us to cross our lunar landscape, made up of the recent lava flows emitted during the winter and spring 2021, to reach the area of the small explosive cone of the 1971 eruption, which disappeared under the lava of the 2021, so the trekking to the main crater of the Etna Volcano will start from here.
You can admire the extraordinary spectacle that the highest volcano in Europe offers us, by browsing inside the bowels of the central crater. Then we will continue on a crater terrace to admire the Bocca Nuova crater, the Southeast Crater and the Northeast Crater. From this point, if the weather conditions allow it, we will be able to observe Calabria, the Aeolian Islands, the mountains and the interior of Sicily and therefore the entire Sicilian east coast.
