Beautiful experience - A great experience - learned about the 2 types of fado and experienced Lisbon Fado. The musicians were super talented and the singer had the most powerful voice. The ambiance of the place added to the experience. One warning for those who aren’t able bodied - descending steep stairs is required.

Magnificent concert - Spectacular event. The gentleman who served us was extremely attentive, the fado concert was incredible, the fado singer has a magnificent voice and together with the musicians they made us have a magnificent Sunday evening. We will visit the remaining fado houses in the future.

Must See and Experience - Do not miss a Fado performance while you are in Porto. I was taken by the performance. The musician’s adept guitar work was impressive and the vocalist’s singing was passionate. I appreciated the information they shared about Fado. The wine cave was perfect for this genre of music, however, tight with the number of patrons in the space. Highly Recommend!

Beautiful! - We loved the music and atmosphere. Such a delightful performance by Ana Ferreira and Giuseppe D Mello (I hope I have their names right and I’m sorry I can’t recall the name of the other guitarist who was amazing too! Such a lovely way to end the day. No need to understand the language - the feelings and the emotions had such an impact. Well hosted too.

Fado for beginners to get to know - We had a great Fado evening in the Casa do Fado Ribeira, very close to the Duoro River. That evening, Manuel (on the Portuguese guitar) led us through the evening brilliantly and explained a lot to all the listeners about Fado, the origins and the meaning of this song. The trio with vocals and Portuguese guitar was completed by an instrumental classical guitar. Nevertheless, Claudia as a singer was of course the undisputed star of the evening with a powerful and absolutely authentic and room-filling Fado voice. She also impressively explained her style of Fado, the individual performance and the reasons why Fado songs are not performed the same way every day. A great evening, almost a must when staying in Portugal or Porto (especially since Fado actually originates from Lisbon). As a small suggestion for improvement, I hope that next time you can also get mineral water to quench your thirst with the port wine served (also for an additional charge). Alternatively, it would be advisable to bring some mineral water to the event. The event lasted just over an hour and ended with great applause from an enthusiastic audience.

Good wine, however… - The space itself is charming, however, unfortunately, I was bothered by the strong musty odor and found the chairs uncomfortable. Furthermore, I believe that a more traditional repertoire, with songs that foreigners can recognize, could improve the visitors' experience. Another point I would like to mention is the limitation of the explanation offered, which was restricted to Spanish and English, leaving little space for Portuguese.
