- Da Nang - Private car and driver pick you up from your hotel in Da Nang, drive 15 to 20 minutes to Hoi An.
- Hoi An - When arrived in Hoi An, local guide and driver will take you on an epic journey through rural villages and river islands around Hoi An.
- Cam Kim Island - We’ll cross the bridge over Thu Bon river to visit Cam Kim island, learn about daily life of the islanders. Meet a 65 year-old couple, help them grind rice, use rice milk to make rice papers. Sit down to enjoy local snacks called Banh Dap and Banh Beo.
- Tra Nhieu Fishing Village - Drive past rice paddies, corn fields and cow herds. Ride along the river bank to see fishing boats. Visit a unique temple built by fisherman in Tra Nhieu village to worship Giant Whales.
- Duy Xuyen District - Visit traditional house of a 70-year-old couple, sit down with them, learn to make colorful bed mats from river reeds. Catch a glimpse of local lifestyle in this fishing village.
- Duy Vinh - Stop at a nice coffee shop with river views, enjoy tasty Vietnamese coffee or fruit juice to freshen up, and use washroom.
- Duy Hai - Drive over high bridges, take in panoramic views of fish farms and shrimp farms at Thu Bon river mouth.
- Cam Thanh - Visit Cam Thanh water coconut village, hop in the Round Basket Boat, a local fisherman will take you on a relaxing boat trip under the shade of coconut trees. You will use a fishing rod to catch some river crabs for fun. Then we’ll drive along the beautiful road with many coconut trees, take pictures of water buffaloes roaming in the fields.

Tra Que Vegetable Village - We’ll have a quick visit at Tra Que vegetable village to see local farmers growing different vegetables in their gardens. It’s a great chance to take pictures, smell amazing herbs and learn about traditional farming methods. Then we’ll drive to a nice restaurant, or to Hoi An old town.

John is a good your guide - it was a great experience to have your with John. He is so funny and he has a great skill to make the tourist having fun. And every tour plans were not typical compare to other your at all. you won't regret to have your with John for sure.

Da Nang tour - This was one of the most memorable private tours we’ve done in a long time our guide spoke excellent English and the driver took the utmost care of us.
This tour goes into some beautiful old areas of Da Nang you enter peoples homes and see how the people lived years ago we highly recommend this tour and this tour company

Glad we saw this part of Hoi An! - Wonderful way to see how some of the locals earn their living. Great guide as well as great driver. Ask for Lahn and Lam. They did a fantastic job! So glad we did this tour. Presents a totally different world than the town of Hoi An.

Fantastic tour to start off your day! - I booked a tour last minute and had Mr. Thanh Tran as my local guide! The trip was really interesting and I loved that I got to experience the local life in a small countryside village. Thanh was a great guide, and shared a lot of knowledge about the history of Vietnam, the places we went to and was a fantastic travel buddy for the day! I definitely recommend him as your guide! I booked a morning tour, ending with lunch which gave me a lot of time in the afternoon to enjoy other parts of Hoi An as well on my own and I recommend to do this in the morning as it is quieter and you get a more authentic village life experience. The places we stopped were great and I got to make my own steamed rice pancake, weave a sleepingmat, and went crab fishing. Before lunch we went to a vegetable / herbal farm and Thanh explained to me the typical herbs that are used in the local cuisine. Lunch was great and I got to try a lot of different dishes I had not yet tried on my travel through Vietnam. Book this tour - it really was amazing!

Knowing the Hoi An Local Culture through this great tour - One of the best tours we have done in Vietnam. All the activities were fun as we were able to interact with the locals. We get to try cooking, weaving, the buffalo ride and the round boat ride! We also visited a coffee roastery, unfortunately we don’t drink coffee. So we just tried their Ice Cacao which really tasted nice. Also saw the organic farm that grows so many spices. It was so much fun to know the culture of Hoi An through these great experiences. Plus we get to tour around Hoi An on a military jeep. Thank you so much Thanh Tran for a wonderful trip and being very informative on this tour.

Private Multi-Tour Experience with the BEST Team from Local Buddy Tours - We had an amazing, start to finish experience with Thanh and Ben from Local Buddy Tours. We are a family of 4 (kids 7yr & 11yr) and this was the first time bringing our kids out for the day on tours so we decided to book private tour experiences over 4 days. The kids loved it all and Thanh and Ben were great with them, and their forward thinking catered for our fussy eaters with no issues. Booking with Local Buddy Tours was a great experience from the start, communication was quick, clear and prices were competitive with no hidden extras that I noticed other companies had. Thanh and Ben also have excellent command of the English language. You can also be assured that your money is well spent as Thanh and Ben always have the local community at the forefront of their minds. You will visit village artists in their private homes and eat at the best places to try the local dishes (not the obvious tourist restaurants). We highly recommend Local Buddy Tours and would not hesitate to book with them again for our next visit to Hoi An.
