Come join us at 08H30 for our journey towards Taroudant, a quaint medieval town also known as ‘the small Marrakech’. Its earthy-coloured ramparts and quaint markets will leave you astounded. Upon arrival, we’ll embark upon a tour around the ramparts, with a stopover at the historic Pasha Palace - ‘Salam Palace’ and its opulent gardens. Post this refreshing visit, we’ll continue our exploration of the medina’s alleyways.
As your senses take in an array of vibrant hues, we’ll steer our journey towards the oasis of Tiout, a Berber village nestled in the foothills of the Anti-Atlas. Here, a splendid palm grove interspersed across several villages of red ochre houses unfurls a breathtaking scenic tapestry. At the hilltop, the Tiout kasbah rewards us with a green, yet desert-like panoramic view.
We’ll break for lunch on the site (hosted by a local family) and to explore the palm grove, we’ll hop on donkeys – the most effective and fun way to navigate the terrains. This also adds a boost to the local economy and benefits the dwellers of the village.
Finally, we plan to return to Agadir by 5:00 p.m.
