Well organised, 10 out 10 experience. - Most challenging and enjoyable adventure I've done in a long time, really well organised, they looked after us 10/10...ride was challenging enough not to make riders bored and wanting you to go again...10 out of 10.

For a dirt-riding rookie, Trent's coaching was a revelation! - Where do I start.. I'm a complete dirt riding newbie - being a former road rider, now returning to motorcycles. I reached out to Trent after seeing his new tour business get mentioned on a Facebook group - and how awesome to see this service now offered in Toowoomba. This is a genuine review, I'd never met Trent until yesterday! I'll admit I was very nervous. I went with my brother in law (who is very experienced on the dirt), so clearly I was going to be the crappest rider on the day (Trent, brother-in-law, and me!) but Trent made the experience just brilliant. For anyone brand new to dirt riding, GIVE IT A GO! I still can't stop smiling. The good parts: 1) Trent - he's an excellent mentor and coach. Very calm and explained things easy to my rookie pea-brain, some of the smallest tips made riding the bike feel completely different. 2) The hire bikes. I really liked the CRF 300L, it was friendly, and did nothing scary, I can now understand why its well-reviewed... it was probably scared of useless me. 3) The scenery.. far out - impressive! We have a lot of beautiful country around Toowoomba region, places I have never seen in a car. 4) Lunch, that bakery stop for a pie was a treat. The bad parts: 1) Nothing. Not even the odd bit of rain could keep us down. 2) Ok, I'll admit I had self inflicted some damage on my pride. The first downhill section we got to I dropped the bike after riding 50cm.. Yep - welcome to dirt riding! Wet soft sandy dirt was a rookie mistake and a revelation. I had a few more drops over the day (thank you Barkbuster guards!), but Trent was never angry at me - we had a laugh and talked through what I was doing and how to adjust and be prepared for the terrain, and I quickly picked up the bike, dusted myself off and got riding again :) Once I got them out of my system I was back riding - standing up, weighting the footpegs, and grabbing with my knees. Adventure riding is about the adventure, every corner, every laugh, every drop - it all adds up to the bigger picture. No you won't turn into a Dakar racer overnight (if ever), but I have a baseline confidence now that I can actually ride for 4-5 hours on trails/forestry dirt/rocky terrain/semi enduro/small river crossings and not be dead. Well done Trent, you've made a convert of me. Nick. Oh yeah, anyone who is asking about my brother in law - he loved it too - he grew up dirt riding and he can't stop talking about the day either. For him, seeing the trails, the scenery, and he learned a number of new tips to improve his form (he's never had formal coaching himself) and he can already feel a difference. Maybe he will become a Dakar racer.. but for me, I'll be content with seeing the world a bit more slowly, and maybe going for the odd camp/pub overnighter :) but yeah.. when I get my bike, the first mod is Barkbusters hah!

Offroad riding day - I went out on the one day adventure with the team at love offroad motorcycles adventures, it was the best day out. Their hire bikes and safety gear are brand new and the day was run very smoothly. We explored the local back roads and forests before ending up at Blackbutt Bakery for lunch. This bakery is a hidden gem with a massive range of choices especially their slices. After lunch we were back on the bikes exploring more of the hidden country around the area, the old stockmans track was my favourite. We got back into town late in thr afternoon after a great day of riding. Would suggest for anyone wanting a fun day in Toowoomba
