Elephants galore - Udawalawe National Park, located in Sri Lanka, is a remarkable destination for nature enthusiasts and wildlife lovers. Spanning over 30,000 hectares, this national park offers a unique and unforgettable experience, especially with its close proximity to the Elephant Transit Home. One of the main highlights of Udawalawe National Park is its thriving population of elephants. The park is home to over 600 elephants, making it one of the best places in the world to observe these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. The Elephant Transit Home, situated within the park, adds an extra layer of excitement and educational value to the overall experience. The Elephant Transit Home is a rehabilitation center for orphaned and injured elephants. It aims to provide a safe and nurturing environment for these elephants until they are ready to be released back into the wild. Visitors to Udawalawe National Park have the opportunity to witness the feeding sessions at the transit home, where the baby elephants are bottle-fed with milk. This heartwarming sight allows visitors to understand the conservation efforts being made to protect these incredible animals.

Wonderful experience - We had such an amazing safari with Ceylon Nature Safari Jeep Tours. Communication was fab in the lead up and we were advised about the best time of day to see the animals. The tour was fantastic! Deshan explained many different types of animals and birds, pointing them out as we came across them. He was also very respectful of the animals - keeping distance and turning the engine off too (although we did have elephants walk very close to us several times! Such a brilliant safari, and we can’t wait until next time!

Superb. Recommended. - The best of all national parks I've visited ❤ It's the most beautiful place. Of course to complete the whole you need a full day and be get ready to bathe some dusts 😊 But it's totally worth. You will find wide range of animals with very close proximity. Love the sights. Recommended our safari with Udawalawe Trails.

Trip to reminder - Simply love. The place is like heaven. Animals are so sweet & innocent, birds are prettiest & greenery is just breathtaking. Well kept park with a tour guide having sharp eyes for the furthest animals that could not be spotted from miles without binoculars.
