See Elephants Don’t Ride Them - Got lucky and had the jeep to ourselves, but sharing wouldn’t have been a problem. Driver had eyes like a hawk and stopped to show us so much. Memorable and peaceful moments alone with wild elephants - best way to see Udawalawe without disturbing the wildlife. Transit Home before or after your visit is a must. £100 per person all in (return taxi from Mirissa included) sounds a lot, but it’s the going rate and good value.

Great Safari with Daruu - We had a wonderful afternoon safari. Our driver Daruu was so kind and is a very experienced guide who shared his extensive knowledge about the animals with us. Fully recommend him! We were lucky to even see a cute baby elephant :)

Nice experience - A personalized tour with great guide. The guide/driver was respectful and did not drive too close to the animals. Other jeeps almost caught the elefants between the wehicles, sad to see…

Safari trip - This was a perfect excursion for a couple of hours. Lasts 3 hours. Everything was very well structured and it was all in all a very pleasant experience for us. The only draw for us has to be the lack of animals. We saw some birds, monkeys, and elephants. They arranged transport for us from the hotel (2 hours away) at a good price and a fantastic driver. The man who drove us through the park was also incredibly kind and clever. Worth noting that there are volunteer guides walking around trying to join the tour. We thought this was part of the scheme but he wasn't and he wanted to be paid at the end of the trip.
