  • National World War I Memorial - The National World War I Memorial is a national memorial commemorating the service rendered by members of the United States Armed Forces in World War I. The 2015 National Defense Authorization Act authorized the World War I Centennial Commission to build the memorial in Pershing Park, located at 14th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue NW in Washington, D.C. The park, which has existed since 1981, also contains the John J. Pershing General of the Armies commemorative work. In January 2016, the design commission selected the submission “The Weight of Sacrifice”, by a team consisting of Joseph Weishaar, Sabin Howard, Phoebe Lickwar, and GWWO Architects, as the winning design,[1] which is expected to be completed by 2024.[2]

  • Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial - Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial
Located to the south of the National Mall, the national memorial is set in a park-like plaza, with large columns framing a mesh tapestry depicting the site of the Normandy landings, and sculptures and bas-reliefs arrayed in the park. Architect Frank Gehry designed the memorial and Sergey Eylanbekov sculpted the bronze statues of Eisenhower in various settings. The memorial’s tapestry artist was Tomas Osinski, and the inscription artist, Nicholas Waite Benson.
On October 25, 1999, the United States Congress created the Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial Commission, and charged it with creating “…an appropriate permanent memorial to Dwight D. Eisenhower…to perpetuate his memory and his contributions to the United States.” The preliminary design proved controversial. After several years of hearings and several design changes by Gehry, final design approvals were given in 2017, when dignitaries held a groundbreaking ceremony at the four-acre site.

Enjoyable DC Landmark Tour - Great tour of key landmarks in DC. Fantastic historical narration with interesting information on how the Capital City was planned. Comfortable ride and nice opportunities to walk about at some of the sites along the tour. Well organized tour and great hospitality from the narrator and driver. Excellent for those with limited walking capacity and most stops had restrooms available. The bus was clean, comfortable and air conditioned. Highly recommend.

On-0ff Bus Day tour of Washington DC - This is an excellent way to see the main Capitol and memorial attractions in D.C. Ali Zohery is a knowledgeable and able guide/host/bus driver who conducted the ~4 hr minibus tour of the sights. Note that there is a moderate amount of walking and some sets of steps to see the various photo stops. Recommended.

Buckeye Road Trip - My kids and I had a great time seeing the city with Simon last night. It saved us a ton of walking time and we saw more in 3 hours than we would have in a day. My kids got to experience sometimes aggressive city driving and the patience that goes along with it. lol.

good tour - Good comprehensive tour of Washington D.C.'s most iconic sights and places. Comfortable bus. Only downside was that driver shared so much information and so quickly that I am sure I missed some of it.

Enjoyable DC Night Tour - The night tour was fun and the monuments are beautiful day or night. Spectacular in lights. Our guide Simon, was knowledgeable in a lot of interesting, details about the sites. There is a lot to see. However, there were also statues and memorials that he drove past that can barely be seen when streets or parks are in near darkness. The major sites were in view and stopping to get pictures is the highlight.

Terrific Experience - The guide was only concerned about counting which he was forgetting every time. The guide was stopping at very far from the tourist places and so much walking. For 3-4 hours tour, it took 5 hours. Due to urgency to catch next planning travel, I left the tour after 4.5 hours and took Lyft to reach to pickup location by our own.

Worst experience never faced - No proper communication from the tour operator. I have been to mount Vernon & I was put in to the other vehicle where no space available & finally from the park he left me & I was put in to untolerable mental agony finally got some local taxi & reached hotel.

Money for nothing... - Unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment: the tour guide spoke poor English, the loudspeaker on the bus was completely unclear, there were no explanations about the history of the city and its significance, and to top it all off, all the streets were closed due to Memorial Day! What speaks for the professionalism of the provider?!?
