AIRPORT - NEGOMBO

Negombo Beach - Often referred to as the “Little Rome” of Sri Lanka, Negombo is a charming coastal town near Bandaranaike International Airport. Known for its historic churches, fresh seafood, and pristine beaches, it’s an ideal spot for a beach holiday either at the start or end of your Sri Lankan adventure. With activities like kite surfing and a lively nightlife, there’s always something to do in Negombo.

NEGOMBO - SIGIRIYA

Sigiriya Museum - Sigiriya, also known as Sinhagiri, is an ancient rock fortress in the northern Matale District near Dambulla in Sri Lanka’s Central Province. This site of historical and archaeological importance is dominated by a towering rock column nearly 200 meters high.

Village Tour Sri Lanka & Village Safari - Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed by the Village Tour Sri Lanka team with a refreshing detox juice. The tour begins with an exciting Tuk Tuk ride, offering a fun and interesting way to meet the local community. After a 15-minute ride, you’ll reach the red lotus lake. Next, enjoy a traditional Sri Lankan catamaran ride with life jackets provided for safety. During the trip, savor local snacks and a refreshing herbal drink by the lotus lake. The tour continues through paddy fields, local communities, and areas rich with fresh fruits, vegetables, birds, and wildlife. Walk through the local villages of Nilagama with a naturalist and visit a traditional mud house. Refresh with cold towels and enjoy a Sri Lankan buffet featuring a variety of fresh, organic local foods. This tour offers a perfect opportunity to experience authentic local life, culture, and hospitality.

SIGIRIYA

Pidurangala Rock - Pidurangala is a large rock formation a few kilometers north of Sigiriya. It shares a history closely linked to the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Though less grand and more challenging to climb, it is often overlooked by tourists. Formed by volcanic activity, Pidurangala appears larger than Sigiriya but has a steeply sloped upper surface of solid rock, making it unsuitable for large-scale construction. The surrounding rocky outcrops give an idea of what the area around Sigiriya might have looked like before it was cleared for the royal citadel.

Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic - Sri Dalada Maligawa, or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, is a Buddhist temple in Kandy, Sri Lanka. Located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, it houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha.

Kandy Lake Club - Cultural Dance Show - Sri Lanka, rich in culture and tradition, offers a vibrant and unique show of traditional dances at the Kandy cultural show. The highlight is the fire walking show, where performers walk barefoot over a fire pit covered with red-hot charcoal and emerge unharmed.

Royal Botanical Gardens - Located about 5.5 km west of Kandy in Sri Lanka’s Central Province, the Royal Botanic Gardens in Peradeniya attract 2 million visitors annually. Situated near the Mahaweli River, the gardens are renowned for their collection of orchids.

Damro Labookellie Tea Centre and Tea Garden - Known as the Little England of Sri Lanka, Nuwara Eliya features a unique climate, surroundings, and architecture. Its cooler climate makes it a key area for tea production in Sri Lanka.

Ramboda Waterfall - Ramboda Falls, standing at 109 meters (358 feet), is the 11th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka and the 729th highest in the world. Located in the Pussellawa area on the A5 highway at Ramboda Pass, it is formed by the Panna Oya, a tributary of the Kothmale Oya. The falls are situated at an altitude of 945 meters (3,100 feet) above sea level.

Gregory Lake - Also known as Gregory Reservoir, Lake Gregory is a reservoir in the heart of Nuwara Eliya’s tea country. Constructed in 1873 during the period of British Governor Sir William Gregory, the lake and its surrounding area form the Gregory Lake Area.

NUWARA ELIYA - BENTOTA

St Clair’s Falls - Known as the “Little Niagara of Sri Lanka,” St. Clair’s Falls is one of the widest waterfalls in the country. It is one of six waterfalls affected by the Upper Kotmale Hydropower Project.

Devon Falls - Located 6 km west of Talawakele in the Nuwara Eliya District on the A7 highway, Devon Falls is named after an English coffee planter. The waterfall stands at 97 meters high and is the 19th highest on the island.

Adventure LK white water rafting kitulgala - Experience white water rafting on the picturesque Kelani River in Kitulgala, covering 5 major rapids and 4 minor rapids. Suitable for anyone over the age of 10, the activity includes safety gear, modern rafts, and a comprehensive safety briefing by our instructors. The 5 km journey offers an enchanting experience amidst the river and its surroundings.

BENTHOTA – GALLE - BENTOTA

Galle Fort - Located in the Bay of Galle on Sri Lanka’s southwest coast, Galle Fort was initially built by the Portuguese in 1588 and extensively fortified by the Dutch from 1649 onwards.

Unawatuna Beach - Unawatuna is one of Sri Lanka’s most famous areas, known for its beautiful southern beaches. Just an hour’s ride from Colombo, it’s a perfect spot for a few days’ stay, offering great shopping, guesthouses, trendy restaurants, and various activities and sightseeing opportunities.

Madu River - Enjoy a magical speed-boat ride down the Madu River, a wetland estuary covering 900 hectares, with 770 hectares of water and 64 islands. This boat ride offers a closer look at this complex wetland ecosystem, a world heritage site protected by the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands, and one of the last wetlands in Sri Lanka with a pristine mangrove forest.

Galbokka Sea Turtle Hatchery - Turtles, also known as chelonians, are reptiles characterized by a bony shell developed from their ribs, acting as a shield. This ancient group evolved over 220 million years ago during the Triassic Era. The order Chelonii, also known as Testudines, includes turtles, tortoises, and terrapins.

Superb, first class tour operator!!! - We travelled to Sri Lanka from 2/1 - 15/1 and upon arrival were warmly greeted by our tour guide, Dhanuka. Having been recommended Hellow Travel by a friend we had high expectations and these were certainly lived up to. Following our engagement on New Year’s Eve, Dhanuka provided exceptional service both directly and by being the liaison with other locals and staff members as when needed. We travelled all over Sri Lanka with Dhanuka and his local knowledge and expertise is second to none. Without his personable approach and help in guiding us around Sri Lanka our experience would have been all together different, several times during the trip we recognised this and mentioned to Dhanuka. We travelled from Colombo, to Sigriya, to Kandy, to Ella, Yala and then down south before returning to Colombo. Dhanuka was attentive and thoughtful throughout, with personal touches not going amiss. For example, each hotel being personally decorated to celebrate our engagement, fresh water in the car daily and adhoc stop offs for necessities. Our experience has certainly been one to remember and we must thank Dhanuka for his sense of humour, kind heartedness, attentiveness and expertise in the tourism sector (and keeping an eye on my beer intake!). I would highly recommend Dhanuka and hellow travel to anyone who wishes to see all aspects of Sri Lanka in a safe and trusted environment. Dhanuka thank you for your time, we have enjoyed getting to know you, your knowledge and have a laugh together!

The best thing that could have happened to us is to cross our lives with them. Thanks a lot for everything - By far the best tour we have booked. We spoke with Dhanuka and planned the trip to our liking, at all times our requests have been attended to and the tours have been modified to our liking. Once in Sri Lanka, Dhanuka showed up at the airport and introduced us to our driver-guide Shakell, the best thing that could have happened to us, he was an attentive, pleasant person who gave everything. He made the trip unforgettable, for us he has been one of the group and a brother who stays in Sri Lanka. At all times Dhanuka has been in contact with us, every day he asked us how the day had been, as well as advice to keep in mind for the next day. In short, both of them have made it an unforgettable trip, I have no choice but to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the effort, and I advised everyone who goes to Sri Lanka to hire HELLO TRAVEL SRI LANKA, you are not going to repeat yourself!!!!

Unforgettable! Hellow travel has made this trip unforgettable for us. Great professionalism and treatment. - The experience has been great. Perfect organization, punctuality, interest in everything going well, with many details. It was our wedding anniversary and they gave us a cake in a restaurant, every day they sent us a message to find out how it had gone. The driver, Sakell, was great too. We would definitely hire them again.
