Highlights

We pick you up in Cape Town and head on the N1 to join up the R62 Wine Route

R 62 in the Klein Karoo - We embark on the R62 Wine Route, the longest wine route globally. Along this path, we encounter numerous stunning vineyards. We also pass through the towns of Worcester, Robertson, and Montagu, all renowned for their wineries. We indulge in some wine tasting at one of the wineries en route.

Oudtshoorn - Our journey continues until we reach Oudtshoorn, where we pause for a tour. We also visit a wildlife ranch in Oudtshoorn for a guided tour.

Depart from Oudtshoorn after breakfast and head to Knysna

Knysna - Discover the sandy beaches and forest trails, explore the area and its rich cultural heritage, and experience what makes Knysna one of the must-visit locations on the Garden Route. We visit Knysna Heads and take a tour of this iconic area. We also tour Knysna Quays.

After breakfast depart from Knysna and head to Plettenberg Bay

Robberg Nature Reserve - First, we tour Robberg Nature Reserve, where you can choose between a 1-hour, 2-hour, or 4-hour hike, depending on your preference. Robberg Nature Reserve is one of the most significant and iconic experiences in Plettenberg Bay. It is one of the most recognizable and traversed peninsulas globally. The beauty of Robberg Nature Reserve is iconic. A World Heritage Site and National Monument, rich in history, with prehistoric rocks and Stone Age artifacts, Robberg attracts visitors from around the world. The picturesque peninsula is home to a wealth of fynbos, flora, and ocean life, all of which dazzle the senses.

Choose to hike the different trails, each with its own degree of difficulty, but all with unique beauty and scenery. This experience is unlike any other coastal encounter.

Plettenberg Bay - In Plettenberg Bay, we visit some of the sandy beaches, relax, and enjoy the beautiful setting.

Depart from Plettenberg Bay after breakfast and head to Bloukrans Bridge

Bloukrans Bridge - At Bloukrans Bridge, you can experience the world’s highest bungy jump. This activity is an optional extra, costing $50.00.

Addo Elephant National Park - From Bloukrans Bridge, we head to Addo National Park for a game drive. This is a Big 5 game reserve, the third largest in South Africa. We are likely to see many animals here, such as elephants, buffaloes, kudus, impalas, nyalas, and more.

Depart from Port Elizabeth after breakfast and head to Port Alfred

Port Alfred - Explore Port Alfred with a visit to the white beaches. Port Alfred lies on the banks of the Kowie River and offers stretches of sandy beach that extend for miles.

East London - From Port Alfred, we continue on the Wild Coast Route until we reach East London.

We travel further in the Eastern Cape until we reach Mthatha

Depart from Mthatha after breakfast and head to Howick Falls

Howick Falls - Howick Falls is a 100m waterfall in Howick, a majestic sight.

Nelson Mandela Capture Site - From Howick Falls, we head to the Mandela Capture Site. We visit the world-renowned Mandela Sculpture and tour the museum, which has extensive information on the history of South Africa pre-independence.

Drakensberg Mountains - From the Mandela Capture Site, we proceed to the Drakensberg Mountains area for the night.

After breakfast, we go hiking in the Drakensberg Mountains

Drakensberg Mountains - We hike in the Drakensberg Mountains. The Drakensberg Mountains, meaning ‘Dragon Mountains’ in Afrikaans, are the highest mountains in South Africa, reaching up to 3,482 m (11,422 ft) in height. This is a popular place for hiking. Snow falls regularly in the winter, while rains and mists can occur year-round. Many of the Drakensberg peaks offer challenging mountaineering.

Durban - After lunch, we depart from the Drakensberg Mountains and head to Durban for the night.

Durban City Tour

Durban - The Durban city tour includes a visit to the Durban Promenade, Victoria Market, Durban Botanic Gardens, and City Hall.

iSimangaliso Wetland Park - After lunch, we depart from Durban and head to iSimangaliso Wetland Park for the night.

Hippo & Croc Boat Cruise in iSimangaliso Wetland Park

iSimangaliso Wetland Park - We explore the St Lucia Estuary on the Hippo & Croc Boat Cruise. Imagine seeing hippos yawning and grunting up close while out on one of the largest estuaries in Africa. This 2-hour Hippo and Croc Boat Safari covers approximately 8km in a northerly direction on the St Lucia Estuary, which is within the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, South Africa’s very first world heritage site.

St Lucia - The afternoon is for relaxing and touring the town of St Lucia in iSimangaliso Wetland Park.

Depart from St Lucia after breakfast and travel to Kruger National Park

Mpumalanga - Travel through Mpumalanga Province en route to Kruger National Park. See the countryside, meet locals, and observe traditional homesteads and villages.

Full day Safari in Kruger National Park

Kruger National Park - The full-day safari is conducted in an open game vehicle specialized for game viewing, with your very own qualified guide for the day. This is a Big 5 game reserve. You are likely to see a vast number of animals, including lions, rhinos, buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, zebras, kudus, impalas, and many more.

Depart from Kruger National Park after breakfast and head to Johannesburg

Mpumalanga - Travel through Mpumalanga Province. Meet locals, see local villages, and observe the rural countryside.

Johannesburg - Travel until we reach Johannesburg in the afternoon to conclude the 13-day tour.
