Great Zimbabwe National Monument - Once Zimbabwe’s capital, the ancient city of Great Zimbabwe is the biggest and most significant stone archaeological complex in sub-Saharan Africa. It is also one of its oldest – thought to date back to the 11th century and second only to South Africa’s Mapungwe. Composed entirely of rectangular granite blocks stacked on top of one another without the use of mortar, the walls and towers of the city measure up to 12 metres in places, and, unsurprisingly, Great Zimbabwe was designated a World Heritage Site in 1986. Visitors can look forward to wandering through these ancient stone structures and immersing themselves in the history of this important heritage site.

You gotta go to Chobe! - OK we did a custom 9 day tour (Vic Falls, Chobe, Maun, Okavango) not the 13 day tour. But the comments are the same... Falcon was amazing! Very professional and always fast to respond. We were coordinating groups from Sydney and Montreal with two different languages. No problem! We made lots of changes. No problem! We phoned their head office in Vic Falls for a chat. No problem! Our agent, Takudzwa, was wonderful. Highly recommended. As for the trip... Victoria Falls was a little dry but still astounding. Maun and Okavango were in drought and very hot (42C). But still a good amount of game. Lots of lion. Recommend staying at least as far in as Chiefs Island. But the MUST DO was Chobe. We have done lots of game drives in Africa. This was astounding! Wonderful lodges, excellent games drives (land and water), so much to see! This was a trip of a lifetime. Thank you Flacon Safaris!

Trip of a life time - The overall experience was way out of this world, each game park we visited had its own story to tell. The guide was very friendly and he had perfect knowledge of everything.
