Awesome experience! - I hopped on for the middle of this trip, the staff were very flexible and helped me take a bus to the middle of Mongolia which I really appreciated. The guide was knowledgeable and was genuinely interested in showing us aspects of culture. He took all of our requests seriously and was flexible with the itinerary and customized the tour to our interests. I learned a ton from him and definitely want to return to Mongolia in the future.

This is THE tour to choose in Mongolia - This was my first trip to Mongolia and I did this tour with my boyfriend and a small group of other independent travelers who wanted to see the same sights. We absolutely loved it and recommend it to everyone we know. The tour covers a variety of amazing landscapes and rock formations, going from lush volcanic forests to giant gobi sand dunes. We got to do both tent camping and home stays (in gers), and even stayed at a hot spring resort at the end of the trip. The families we stayed with were incredibly welcoming and I learned so much about Mongolian culture. The highlight was certainly the 3 days on horseback. I found this tour to be very well planned out, for example I was initially surprised that we would only be riding camels for a few short hours during our time in the gobi. Our guide explained it is because riding a camel is... terribly uncomfortable. It is, and I'm so grateful we did not waste our trip suffering on camelback. Additionally, my boyfriend has some extreme allergies that can be problematic when navigating different cultures. Our guides took great care to accommodate him and it wasn't an issue at all. I also celebrated my birthday during the tour, and our guide surprised me with a giant chocolate cake and wine in the middle of the desert. This is a trip that I always wanted to do, but did not expect it to be so comfortable! When I return (to see the Altai mountains of course) I will absolutely choose to travel with Mugi's company!
