Worry-free trip with excellent driver - Mahesh took our trip to the next level with his excellent driving skills, knowledge about Sri Lankan culture and food. Made several stops along our three week journey to show us the true Sri Lanka. We ate at local restaurants, he treated us with fruits and vegetables we had never heard of and took care of our daughter as it was his own. He even took care of an infant seat so she would be safe along our trip through the country he loves.

amazing experience - This tour was a life-changing experience! The guide's insights into Sri Lankan culture enriched our journey. The elephant safari and the spice gardens were my favorites.

It is recommended my side - Highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to explore Sri Lanka thoroughly. The private driver made transportation a breeze. The Sigiriya Rock Fortress was a standout experience.

Absolutely greeat driver - What a fantastic driver! He struck that fine balance between being extremely helpful and giving us the space as a family to enjoy the holiday. He very obviously knew his way around, and was constantly able to offer great suggestions or adaptations to our itenerary. We travelled extensively throughout Sri Lanka, yet wherever we went, he was very knowledgeable as to the best places (and times) to go to visit. When our train tickets got cancelled last minute he was able to negotiate and arrange new tickets, despite being told they had sold out. We really can't sing his prasies enough. We really don't think the holiday would have been half as good without his help and support.

Not a Travel Agency! - Being at the last stage of our 15 days Tour and having visited 8 different hotels, the pattern is clear: all pictures are taken before Covid period, when most of the hotels have been closed for 2 years, therefore expect a clear mismatch betwen stars and reality, kind but inexperienced staff, poor management who is operating without resources.
The result has been in 5 hotels out of 8 a big mismatch between what you pay and what you get.
Sri Lanka is anyhow a great country with so many different things to do and nice people all around, our freelance driver Kelly has been great and supportive and we go home with many good memories.
However, there is an however and I have made a big mistake in being hooked by Personal Driver Sri Lanka website and attentive replies before we landed.
The first mismatch has been with our van, their website promises cars not older than 3 years... ours was at least 10 years, with issues which have required maintenance at the second day!
Then the hotel nightmare has started. Aliya and The Golden Crown have matched expectations, but Camelot, Rajarata, Victoria Suites, Laya Safari (!) and Club Waskaduwa have all been disappointing experiences, check each place review. On top, he has also missed to book our tickets for the train experience, which we have then lost.
The first offer I got for the Tour was 1.600 dollars for 12 days and 4 people, I accepted to pay finally 4.800 dollars to have at least 4 stars accomodation without negotiating 1 single penny.
When I have asked Rahj why he had so few reviews on Maps and TripAdvisor he told me that because he started his company recently, I trusted him.
Now I can say it: be careful, if you want a car secure it is really a recent one, and book all hotels yourself or through somebody who is a real "insider". Based on my experience, Rajh doesn't know where he is sending his Customers and does not feel accountable for his mistakes.
I got quite some apology from him, but no concrete improvement or compensation.
