1. Curtea de Arges Monastery 2. Trasfagarasan Highway 3. Poienari Fortress 4. Vidraru Dam - Overnight in Sibiu

Curtea de Arges Monastery - Did you know that Arges city was the first capital of Romania Country?

Everyone knows that truly good, beautiful and durable things come only through sacrifice, which will become apparent when you reach the old town of Curtea de Arges. With a rich and eventful history, this is where you get to see the ruins of the Wallachian princely court, the 13th century Royal Church, as well the famous Arges Monastery, an important historical monument with an interesting, yet sad story.

Poienari Castle - If we were to put together a tour of the castles in Romania for Dracula fans and adventure lovers, Poenari Castle would have to be on the list, being an important Romanian tourist attraction. With this private trip you will have the perfect chance to discover the wildlife in Transylvania.

As you are climbing up the 1480 stairs that lead up to the castle, you can rightfully say you are following in the steps of Dracula…

Transfagarasan Highway - Did you know that one of the most spectacular roads in the world is Transfagarasan Highway?

The incredible view and stunning scenery that this paved mountain road offers is indescribable; even the video segment featured on Top Gear, deeming it the most beautiful road in the world, barely does it justice.

Sibiu City Tour, Cozia Monastery, Calimanesti natural spring - Back to Bucharest

Big Square (Piata Mare) - The Large Square is the largest of the squares of Sibiu, opening a wide perspective, typical to the Renaissance and the following ages.

Here we have the historical centre of Sibiu, mentioned for the first time in 1411 as a grain market. The Large Square exits since 1366, alongside the finalization of the third fortification belt of the city. Starting with the 16th century, the Large Square becomes the centre of the citadel.

Piaka Mica - The main square in the city was built in 1366, along with the third lane of city fortifications. The square has retained its original appearance from the 15th-16th centuries with minor modifications. All the buildings surrounding it have the status of monuments. They include both residential houses and public utility buildings as well as elements of fortifications.

Cozia Monastery - Cozia Monastery, erected close to Călimănești by Mircea the Elder in 1388 and housing his tomb, is one of the most valuable monuments of national medieval art and architecture in Romania.

A wonderful tour through Romania - I am very grateful to my guide Nicolas for organising a wonderful two-day tour for me. In the morning of the first day, we visited the Vidraru Dam and then he drove me along the TransfagaraÅŸan Road. In the afternoon, we visited the National Museum of the Union, Catholic and Orthodox Churches in Alba Iulia and the Corvinus Castle in Hunedoara. At the end of the day, we walked around the Prislop Monastery. The next morning, we visited DensuÅŸ Church (the oldest Romanian temple) and the archaeological site Sarmisegetusa (the capital of the Dacians). After driving along the Transalpina Road, we visited stores with pottery and ceramics in Horezu before our return to Bucharest. This was a tour rich in scenic mountain panoramas, greenery and mystical landscapes with monasteries and churches. I took numerous wonderful photographs thanks to the patience of the guide, who drove almost 1000 kilometres in two days. Nicolas listens to his travellers' wishes and readily adds interesting places to the agreed route. That was really beautiful!

The most beautiful tour - The tour was last year but it was a great tour. Thank you, tripadvisor, for remanfing to write a review about it! It was amazing! You have to book this tour if you want to see how amazing this world can be. And of course you have to book the tour at this company because they work very well, they love their job and you will see that in the quality of their servicies. I was impressed how well prepared the guide was, he answered at all my quetions and I have to recognised that sometimes I looked on google to see if his answers are right. No mistakes! They are very well prepared guides and drivers, you will see the quality because I have to recognise that I tried to book tours from others company two times until discover them and the quality was not the same. Lucky, I have discovered them and now me and my friends, have the opportunity to visit and learn more about Romania.
