Full Day Banteay Srei and Grand Circuit Temples

Preah Khan - This morning start your Journey by travel to Preah Khan temple, a ruined but highly atmospheric mélange of tree roots and crumbling stone structures.

Neak Pean - Move to Neak Pean an artificial island with a Buddhist temple on a circular island in Jayatataka Baray.

Banteay Srei - Visit the well-preserved Banteay Srei. The detailed reliefs on this smaller sandstone structure are regarded as the finest, most skillfully crafted in Cambodia.

Pre Rup - Final stop at Pre Rup Hindu temple built as the state temple of Khmer king Rajendravarman and dedicated in 961 or early 962. It is a temple mountain of combined brick, laterite and sandstone construction. Late afternoon return to town after a memorable day exploration.

Angkor Wat with Sunrise Tour

Angkor Wat - We begin with a pre-dawn departure (4.10 to 4.30 am depending on the time of year) from your hotel for sunrise outside Angkor Wat. Enter the great temple in darkness from the little-visited eastern side, and creep along hoary cloistered corridors past the longest stretch of bas-relief carvings in the world.
Soak up the atmosphere of dawn at Angkor Wat, from the edge of one of the ancient library pools. We then explore the interior of the great temple, spending a thorough two hours discovering the corridors, central chambers and upper terraces of this truly great temple. Your expert local guide will decipher the myriad of stories behind the bas-relief carvings, and give you an insight into life during the height of the Khmer empire. We end our tour at Angkor with breakfast outside the temple (take away, from your hotel), and a short rest.

Angkor Thom - Angkor Thom is the majestic site once served as the Khmer Empire’s glistening capital city. Take a moment to consider its grandiosity before venturing inside the city. Arriving at the temple at Bayon, appreciate its beautifully crafted central towers covered in more than 200 enormous faces.

Angkor Thom South Gate - This majestic site once served as the Khmer Empire’s glistening capital city. Take a moment to consider its grandiosity before venturing inside the city.

Terrace of the Elephants - Pass by the famous Terrace of the Leper King, and the Terrace of Elephant.

Ta Prohm Temple - One of the most atmospheric of all temples in Angkor. Once home to 2,740 monks, Ta Prohm today looks much as it did in the early 1850s, when French explorer Henri Mouhot ‘rediscovered’ this crumbling site. After exploring the maze-like interior of Ta Prohm, return to your hotel after a long but fulfilling day, which will leave you with a lifetime of memories of one of the wonders of the world.

Best honeymoon trip thanks to Sak and Seyha! - My...my…where do I even start? Well short version is: BEST ADVENTURE EVER! Believe me when I say you’re truly missing out! If you speak English, you have to go with Sak and Seyha! Long version is: Memorable adventure with the best companies. Seyha is a smooth driver, getting us to our destinations quick, safe, and comfortable. He opens and closes the door every single stop for us, handing us ice cold water whenever we run out (I was expecting a bottle of complimentary water but it was more like unlimited), and he would offer was cold towel soaked in essential oils that refreshes and cool our heated skin. Sak is our tour guide bringing us to 7 different temples this 2-day trip. He is humorous, considerate, and knowledgeable. He gives us all the time we need with patience after each temple tour so that we could stroll around by ourselves (optional). He takes THE BEST photo of us. If you want a genuine tour to learn everything about the beautiful history and culture of Cambodia with top-tier photos at the end of your trip, Sak is your guy! No joke, different filters, several shots per destination, and the perfect angles. Sak is not only knowledgeable about all the temples history/religion aspect, but the history of Cambodia itself with a lot of first hand experiences. He is also aware of a few different countries and their cultures’ history for references/comparisons. He is open to any conversations about the historic or current events, from folk-tells, religion practices, architectural history, to political affairs. Sak has a positive and inspiring outlook to things, and goes beyond what a regular tour guide would usually do. His English is easy to understand and knows a lot of important vocabularies that there won’t be any language barriers or misunderstandings. At the end of our trip, Sak asked us for any feedbacks, whether it’s positive and negative so that he could improve himself and make the next experience even better. Now that’s the spirit! The temples had different ambience and atmosphere. Some are more mystical, some more powerful, while others are tranquil. Loved the stories I heard from the tour and seen carved throughout the temples. The nature around and intertwined within the temples were gorgeous and peaceful. I loved the trees and the meditation chambers. Saw some monkeys at the end of our trip as well. The sunrise that we went to see was just stunning! Sak suggested us to bring plastic bags to sit on which really helped and we were the only one prepared. Every our tour guide groups were standing and shuffling during the 1.5-2 hours. Some got so tired they left halfway which was unfortunate, because the sunrise was worth loosing sleep over. The mosquitos weren’t really a problem at all, and this is coming from me who’s always get bitten just walking out my door. (Do bring mosquito repellent and you are all set) This is a tour I’d do again when I’m back to Cambodia the next time so that I can see the rest of the temples, and maybe revisit some with my other family members.

An amazing adventure - Me and my wife did the 2 day tour of Angkor, including the sunrise over Angkor Wat. Our tour guide Sak and driver Seyha, couldn’t have been more professional during our tour of the temples. Sak’s energy and knowledge was amazing. He took the most amazing photos of me and my wife. We had a pleasant time discussing the socio-political and historical context surrounding Angkor up until modern day Cambodia. The timing was great and we were given free time to roam at each location. Our driver always offered us ice cold water and handed us fresh cold towels with essential oils that helped combat the mosquitoes. Overall, a fantastic experience and I encourage anybody that ends with up Sak to be as curious as you can be as you will most definitely learn a thing or two. As well, you’ll be in good hands with Seyha as your driver.

Angkor Wat 2 day tour - Fabulous tour! The 2 day tour with Journeys Cambodia and our guide Mr Sokpee was exception! He is a walking encyclopedia of the history and architecture of the region. His English is great, along with his sense of humor. Day 1 is 8 hours and includes 4 temples in the outer ring. Amazing history and stunning scenery. Lunch is served at a local open air restaurant. The menu is large and the food was excellent. Day 2 is seven hours and starts at 4:30 AM with sunrise at Angkor Wat followed by a tour of the entire temple area. Then visit three of the other well-known temples in the inner ring. The van was comfortable, great air conditioning, and the driver was waiting with Coldwater and cold towels after each temple visit. If you are considering a tour of the Angkor Wat region, look no further then Journeys Cambodia and ask for Mr. Sokpee to be your guide. .

One of the best tours in the world! - This is by far one of the best tours I’ve done. Sokpee was an amazing guide. Funny, thoughtful and extremely knowledgeable. He was happy to answer all of our group’s questions and taught us so much about Cambodia’s history and the temples. Not only was he a great guide, but also a wonderful photographer. He’ll always let you know where to take nice pictures in function of the temple and where the sun is. And he is always offering to take pictures for those who want to. All the information about our days were explained really well on the bus and Mao (our driver) was always ready with cold water bottles before we left the bus and when we came back. He also gave us cold wet towels which were highly appreciated. On my first day I didn’t have any cash because I had not been able to exchange and Sokpee made sure the restaurant where we had lunch accepted card. I wish I had one more day of visits with Sokpee to discover other temples in Angkor Wat.

2 days tour of Angkor Wat - We did the 2 day tour of Angkor Wat with Journey Cambodia. The tour guide (Bun) was very knowledgeable and really looked after us for the 2 days. The driver Keal greeted us back to the bus with cold bottles of water and cooled face towels. The temples were amazing and the tour gave a good selection of the best temples to visit. I would recommend this tour based on my experience.

Excellent two day tour with Mr Sokpee and Pah. Mr Sokpee was a wealth of knowledge about the temple complex - I would highly recommend this tour company and Mr Sokpee specifically. He has a firm grasp of the physical aspects of the complex as well as the religious. I feel that I came out of the two days so much more informed than when I started. He also shared his experiences growing up around the complex. This tour wasn’t rushed at all, so if you’re looking to run through the temples, this tour may not be for you. I would also like to recommend our driver, Mr Pah. He always had a smile and a cold bottle of water ready! Again, I would highly recommend this tour.

Come for the temples, stay for the dad jokes - Make sure you request Pal Sauron as your tour guide. Knowledgeable, cheery, and indefatigable, he also knows how to crack perfectly timed dad jokes to revive troupe morale when heat and fatigue begin to overwhelm you (depending on the season, I guess, but that’s the nature of the beast, i.e. the Angkor Wat complex). Absolutely worth it!

Amazing experience - We had a great two day tour in the temples of ankor. On the first day we visited four smaller but impressive temples. On the second day, we watched the sunrise in front of Ankor Wat and strolled through the temple afterwards. The change of light during sunrise was really amazing und worth the shortened sleep. After ankor, we had breakfast and visited two more temples (including the temple known from Tomb Raider). Our guide Pireak (or just Pi) was really great. He impressed us not only with his knowledge about the history and underlying religious stories of the temples but also with side notes or fun facts. Also he had some great skills as a photographer to capture the best moments of our tour! We couldn’t be assigned to a better guide. We were also supplied with enough cold water and fresh towels to fight the heat of cambodia! Overall just very impressive two days at ankor! Nina&Niklas
