Fly to Luxor / Luxor sightseeing tours

Temple of Karnak - A Desert Nile representative will pick you up from your Cairo hotel in a modern, air-conditioned vehicle and take you to Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, you’ll be joined by your personal Egyptologist tour guide to explore the renowned Karnak Temple, the largest place of worship ever constructed. Its ancient name, Ipet-isut, translates to “the most sacred of places.” This temple complex was built over more than two millennia by successive generations of pharaohs. Inside the grand “Hypostyle Hall,” you’ll find an astonishing forest of massive pillars. Along the way, you’ll enjoy lunch at a quality restaurant before heading to the majestic Luxor Temple, built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II for rituals and festivals dedicated to the god Amun. You’ll also have some free time for shopping in Luxor. Afterward, you’ll be driven to your hotel for check-in, followed by leisurely free time and an overnight stay in Luxor.

Luxor Temple - You’ll visit Luxor Temple, a large ancient Egyptian temple complex on the east bank of the Nile River in what is now the city of Luxor. Constructed around 1400 BCE, it is known in the Egyptian language as Ipet Resyt, meaning “the southern sanctuary.”

Luxor sightseeing tours / Fly back Cairo

Colossi of Memnon - Early in the morning, enjoy a relaxing breakfast at your hotel in Luxor before visiting the West Bank of the Nile River. Here, you’ll see the two colossal statues of Amenhotep III, known as the Colossi of Memnon. These massive stone statues have stood in the Theban Necropolis, west of the modern city of Luxor, since 1350 BCE.

Valley of the Kings - Next, you’ll visit the Valley of the Kings, where magnificent tombs were discovered. These tombs were carved deep into the desert rock, richly decorated, and filled with treasures intended for the pharaohs’ afterlife.

Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - You’ll then visit the Hatshepsut Temple at El Deir El Bahary. This impressive temple, dedicated to Queen Hatshepsut, the only female pharaoh, rises from the desert plain in a series of terraces and merges with the surrounding sheer limestone cliffs. You’ll then proceed to have lunch at a local restaurant.
