Flight to Cappadocia & North Cappadocia First Day

Cappadocia - Your driver will be ready to pick you up at your Istanbul hotel and transfer you to Istanbul Airport for the Cappadocia flight. We pick you up from any hotel in Istanbul for airport transfer. We will inform you about the Istanbul hotel pick-up time is between 04.15 am and 6.30 am, depending on the exact flight time. When you landed in Cappadocia we will greet you at Kayseri or Nevsehir airport and transfer you to Cappadocia. You will meet your tour guide for the day tour.

Uchisar Castle - Uchisar Castle is the highest point in the region. The castle and its surroundings used to be the most populated area in this settlement to survey the enemies. The top of the citadel provides a magnificent panorama of the surrounding area.

Goreme Open-Air Museum - Goreme Open Air Museum is the first and biggest monastery where this religious education was started. You will visit the churches, chapels, and monasteries carved into the fairy chimneys with frescoes painted on the walls from the 10th to 13th Centuries. In the 4th century, three important men created a new unity here they are the Great St. Basil, bishop of Kayseri, his brother St.Gregory of Nyssa, and St. George of Nazianus.

Avanos - Avanos is the home of pottery art, which is known to have started at the time of the Hittites, and still continues and there are many workshops. You will have a chance to experience the antique way of crafting potteries.

Fairy Chimneys - Cappadocia is famous for its unique landforms. Pasabag is the most obvious place to visit where these landforms are best seen. Pasabag, which is also commonly known as Monks Valley.

Cappadocia - Weaving is one of the most important features of Turkish culture and history. This tradition from Central Asia to Anatolia still continues in Cappadocia. You will catch a unique chance to see how local ladies weave carpets at traditional looms in a cooperative where world-famous Turkish carpets are produced.

South Cappadocia Last Day

Goreme Panorama - Goreme Panorama is a panoramic point where you can see a wonderful view of Goreme town with its spectacular cave houses.

Red Valley - Red Valley is an area that attracts attention with its red color in the very center of Cappadocia. The inside of this valley is suitable for walking and there is a hiking route that lasts approximately 4 km. Kaymakli Underground City - Underground City (Özkonak or Kaymaklı) is the most interesting one in the region among 36 other ones which were first used by Hittites and later by Christians as a shelter during Roman persecution times. By carving lots of rooms all connected with tunnels, they lived here when the cities were invaded by enemies. you have a chance to see the rooms, food storage church, and kitchens. Chimneys and defense systems used in the underground city will surprise you during the visit.

Pigeon Valley - The Pigeon Valley runs between Uçhisar and neighboring Pigeon Valley is a panoramic viewpoint where you will see the pigeons and pigeon houses that were used to keep pigeons to collect their dropping for fertilizing the earth, especially vineyards.

Cappadocia - At the end of the tour, we will transfer you to the airport for the Istanbul flight. When you landed in Istanbul we will welcome you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel.

Good arrangement too - After istanbul, our party follow Takk Travel for Cappadocia as well. Good decision and good result. We enjoyed a lot. Highly recommended
