Xiangxi Hibiscus Town - At 9am, our guide and driver will sign your name and meet you at Zhangjiajie/Wulinglingyuan hotel lobby or Zhangjiajie airport/train station and transfer to the Furong Ancient town and need 1.5hrs driving via the highway).
Furong Ancient Town (or Hibiscus Ancient Town) is originally known as Wangcun Village. It is where the famous movie Hibiscus Town was filmed, so it changed its name to Furong Town (Furong means Hibiscus in Chinese phonetic alphabet.) After the movie “Furong Town” was done in this place. Furong ancient town consists of a group of mixed people, ethnic group of Tujia and Miao mixed with Han people. Tujia people account for more than 80% of the total population.

Phoenix Ancient Town - After the Furong old town, we will head to Fenghuang old town and need 1.5hrs driving. Our guide will help you to the check in the hotel and show you visit the Fenghuang old town.
Different from other ancient towns in China, Fenghuang Ancient Town is a secluded and tranquil town located on the bank of the river and surrounded by mountains. It is a good idea to stroll in this ancient town and visit some interesting shops and homes, and discover some interesting nooks. The ethnic handicrafts are really delicate and special in this region. At night, the town becomes more quiet and peaceful. Sitting in a bar and appreciating the sunset is wonderful.

Tuojiang Ancient Street - We can visit the Fenghuang old town follow the Tuojiang ancient streets, those streets were narrow alleys paved with flagstones and decorated with lanterns, and walk around to grab some souvenirs and snacks from stalls lined along the streets. You can see some local elderly women wearing traditional costumes and selling their handmade souvenirs on the roadside.

Phoenix Hong Bridge - Next, go to Hong bridge, you know at Fenghuang old town has many bridges due to the Tuo river, The famous bridge is “ Hong bridge” and in English is “Rainbow Bridge” was constructed during the Ming Dynasty. Local legend holds that the bridge was constructed to “cut off the Dragon’s head” when the emperor learned that an emperor would be born here to replace him.
When you walking through the bridge, you will find Several souvenir and craft shops line the first floor of the bridge, and the second floor hosts a tea shop and an exhibition of calligraphy and art.

Phoenix East Gate Scenic Area - Afterwards, head to East gate area. As one of the four gates in Fenghuang Ancient Town, the East Gate Tower is close to Tuo River, built in the 54 year (1715) during the reign of Emperor Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty (1,616 A.D.-1,911 A.D.) with the initial name-“Shengheng Gate”, and it is actually the east gate of Fenghuang Ancient Town in a solemn and magnificent style and Tower is a two-storied architecture with the bottom part built by red sandstones and the upper part built by ancient red bricks. The frame structure of the tower is a combination of the “beam supporting structure” and the “through type timber frame”.

Fenghuang County - At 8:00am, our guide and driver will meet you at the Fenghuang hotel lobby then transfer to the Tongren Fenjiing Mountain(2hrs driving each way, 123KM away from Fenghuang.

Mount Fanjing - Today is a full day exploration of the incredible Fanjingshan. You will take the South Route to ascend the mountain. First take park bus from the tourist center to Yu’ao Station where you will take a cable car up to the mountain top area, which will save you a lot of time for you to spend on the highlighting area.

What to see at Fanjingshan
Located in Tongren, Guizhou province (southwest China), Fanjingshan is the highest peak of Wuling Mountains, 2,570m (8,430ft) above sea level. Besides standing out as a sacred Maitreya mountain for Buddhists, Fanjingshan National Nature Reserve was also established and designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, and later announced as a World Heritage Site in 2018.

Red Cloud Golden Summit, a thumb-like peak, is described by UNESCO as an “island of metamorphic rock in a sea of karst”, believed to have been formed somewhere between 2 million and 65 million years ago. For everyone else, one of the main appeals of visiting Fanjingshan is the stunning views from the summit.

Mushroom Stone is the landmark of Fanjingshan. Big on the top and small at the bottom, it is vividly formed like a mushroom. For more than one billion years , it has been standing there still and hit by the rainstorms, summer heat and winter snow year after year, which is the essence of what Buddhism says about “Remain unbiased” in every circumstance.

Old Golden Summit, with an elevation of 2,494 metres, is the highest scenic site of Fanjingshan. On the top of Old Golden Summit is a temple dedicated to Buddha Dipamkara which is as well as the best place to take some panoramic photos of Fanjingshan.

Cheng En Temple, located between the two summits with scarlet walls and black tiles, is the main building of Fanjingshan Temple Group and one of the four Royal temples in Fanjingshan which was built in the Ming Dynasty (1368AD-1644AD).

Zhangjiajie - After the fantastic sightseeing, you will drive to Fenghuang hotel or Tongren hotel/airport or Zhangjiajie/Wulingyuan hotel/airport/train station.End of our services.
