Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national park and Batwa Community Trail
Entebbe - On your arrival at Entebbe international airport (EBB), you will be met by a Dav safaris staff that will brief you. This is a long day drive of approximately 7 hours with lunch stop over en route. Though long, the drive takes you through different features to include tropical rain forests, savannah fields and the terraced hills of Kigezi famously known as the Switzerland of East Africa. Upon arrival in Bwindi we shall check in at the lodge and proceed to the Batwa community for the cultural adventure about these forest pygmies. You will spend the rest of day at leisure as you wait for the next day’s adventure. Meal Plan: Lunch and Dinner
Gorilla Trekking And transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for Canoe Ride
Kibale National Park - After an early morning breakfast, and with your picnic lunch we then take a short drive to the park offices for briefing where we meet the excellent local guides and trackers who give a talk on the etiquette of gorilla trekking. We then hike into the forest to a spot where gorillas were seen the previous night and track from there. Trekking may take anything between 1 to 6 hours depending on the location of the family and altitudes which is in excess of 7500 feet.
Transfer to Kampala via Equator line
Entebbe - After breakfast, start on the long drive back to Entebbe / Kampala with the memory of the great rare mountain Apes. Lunch en route and a stopover at the equator line for experimentation, arriving late in the evening to be dropped at Entebbe international airport at approximately 6 pm hence you have to book an evening flight!

Amazing trip to see gorillas! - We booked a 4-day, 3-night gorilla trekking adventure with Davis Safaris, and it exceeded our expectations! The highlight was, of course, encountering the gorillas in Bwindi, but every part of the journey was memorable. We loved seeing the adorable golden monkeys and were captivated by the stunning beauty of Lake Bunyonyi.
Our guide, Adams Gorilla, was exceptional. He was always punctual, kept us informed about the daily schedule, and had an impressive knowledge of everything we asked. Plus, he is incredibly friendly and hilarious. The van we traveled in was clean and comfortable, and the itinerary was well-balanced, with varied activities and accommodations that never felt overwhelming.
Overall, this was an unforgettable experience for my first time in Africa, and I highly recommend Davis Safaris and Adams Gorilla. Thank you so much!

Two Italians meet Big Apes - Our tour was beyond our expectations!
Everything went according to plan.
We were picked up at ViaVia Lodge, the accommodation we chose for our first night in Uganda.
At the pick up we met Solomon the agent and Adison, our tour guide!
We then left for the longest drive across Uganda! Adison drove safely and smoothly while answering our questions about the country.
The van was equipped with chargers and a fridge for cold water, definitely a plus!
At Bwindi we slept at the amazing Gorilla Mist Lodge, which we really enjoyed, especially the fireplace at night :) Moreover it is very close to the Ruhija sector.
We spent last night at Itambira Island tears of hope lodge: peaceful and quiet, with a stunning lake bunyoni view! We loved canoeing!

Gorilla trekking as a solo female Aussie - I just finished a 4 day tour of both Rwanda and Uganda with Dav’s Safaris with Adams Gorilla as my guide. I had the BEST time!! The tour included the Golden Monkeys in Rwanda, gorilla trekking in Uganda and Bunyonyi lake in Uganda. It was such a great itinerary and highly recommend it to anyone, solo travellers, friends and also families.
Having Adams as my guide was amazing, I am a solo female traveller from Australia and he made me feel so, so comfortable and safe, and was absolutely hilarious and so much fun! Great advice on everything as it was my first time to Africa, and showed me some amazing sights. He’s also from the area so he knows it well. So happy I had him as my guide and definitely recommend him as he made my trip what it was.

The most genuine guide! And the gorilla trip was so memorable - Amazing trip! Very accommodating guide/ driver ! Boaz was very kind and knowledgable fun and professional! He is very kind and really love what he does ! When ever your in Uganda ask for him !!!!! He also helped us organise to help and donate food supplies to 90 families in the village. He went out of his way to help us buy goods and deliver.

Amazing experience - We contacted DAV Safaris in March 2023 to schedule our July 2024 Golden Monkeys and Gorilla Trekking. Reagan was very easy to work with and prompt in responding to our emails. Adams was a great guide for our trip! Gorilla trekking was very difficult, but the reward of seeing the gorilla family made the difficult trip worth it.

Beyond expectations - I did 5 days gorilla and chimps trekking, with cultural visits, on budget.
It was just perfect! It was an amazing experience and we had the best guide with us, Arafat, that I can now consider as a friend. I felt safe all the time with Arafat. He's well trained with wild life and as a tourist guide.
It was my birthday, Dav Safaris and Arafat had arranged surprises for me to make it a special day. They care a lot about your dream come true and it is all that matter for them.
The planning and communication before my trip went really well.
They have the credit card machine to pay the rest of the balance when they come to pick you up. The car is in a really good condition and so clean. That is very important because you have long road hours ahead of you and often not easy roads, like they call it "African massage road" ;)
They are so well respected everywhere that we went! That means a lot to me, they respect everyone, nature and animals. Each places to stay overnight or to have lunch were clean, welcoming, food was good, that's a no brainer all the way!
My experience was fantastic, beyond expectations and I'm planning to go back and of course contact Dav Safaris without a doubt. See you soon my banana friends ;)

Awesome time - It was an amazing trip! We did 3 days in Uganda followed by one day at Akagera in Rwanda. Benjamin was a fantastic guide, giving us lots of interesting information and patiently answering our many questions about nature and culture. He navigated the parks and the roads really remarkably. The hotels and food were excellent and folks were really nice. The wildlife experiences, hikes, nature. And safari were absolutely incredible.

Trip of a lifetime! - Dav safaris amended the 3 day trip to 4 days to include chimp trekking, and they picked us up from a different location to normal. Everything was amazing and I will remember seeing gorillas and chimps up close for the rest of my life. All the places we stayed were great and the staff were so welcoming and hospitable. Our driver Brian was fantastic and seemed to want to make sure we saw everything we wanted and drove long distances with a great attitude and always smiling!!
