Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou kasbah - Ouarzazate - Dades Gorges

Ait Ben Haddou - Visit the historic kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site that draws filmmakers from around the globe. This remarkable Berber village, constructed from clay and adobe, is a must-see in southern Morocco. We’ll take a guided walking tour and have lunch at a local restaurant (not included). This site has been the backdrop for many famous international films, such as Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, and Alexander. After exploring the village with your guide, enjoy a traditional lunch at a local restaurant. Then, continue our journey to Ouarzazate. Upon arrival, you’ll have the chance to explore the Atlas cinema studios, discovering old props and learning about the movies filmed there.

Ouarzazate - We’ll stop at the renowned kasbah Taourirte, a UNESCO World Heritage site located in the heart of Ouarzazate city.

Vallee Des Roses - We’ll make several stops along the road through the Valley of Roses and visit a local cooperative that produces rose-based products. The Dades and Roses valleys are crucial for water and irrigation in the region and are known as the valleys of a thousand kasbahs. If you visit in May, you can enjoy the annual rose festival.

Dades Gorges - Our trip continues through the valley of a thousand kasbahs to reach the Dades Gorges, passing through Berber villages. Upon arrival, check into your hotel for an overnight stay in the Gorges.

Dades Gorges - Todra Gorges - Merzouga Sahara

Dades Gorges - We’ll visit the impressive canyons of the Dades Gorges.

Todra River - Enjoy a guided walking tour through the stunning Todra Valley with a local guide to explore the magnificent Todra Canyon.

Merzouga - Upon arrival in Merzouga, enjoy a welcoming mint tea before embarking on a camel caravan adventure. You’ll ride for an hour and a half across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi to reach the desert camp at the foot of the Great Dune. During the camel trek, you’ll witness a breathtaking sunset over the sand dunes.

Dinner will be served at the camp, and you’ll spend the night under the spectacular starry sky of the desert.

Depending on your choice:
Standard camp: Shared tent with other guests
Luxury Desert Camp: Private tent in a luxury desert camp

Merzouga - Anti-Atlas - Ouarzazate - Tichka pass - Marrakech

Merzouga - Wake up early to witness the stunning sunrise over the golden dunes of Merzouga and ride camels back to the hotel to meet your driver.

Merzouga Desert - Rise early to admire the beautiful desert sunrise over the dunes, then return to the hotel by camel. After breakfast or a 4×4 ride, meet your driver/guide and begin a new journey towards Marrakech. Niamh, Ireland - I booked in on the 3 Day Marrakech to Merzouga tour and I loved every minute of it. We stopped at the most beautiful places and got really nice photo's. Also the breakfast and dinner was included every day which was a really nice bonus. The food was delicious and our accommodation and transportation was excellent. Our driver Mohamed was absolutely fantastic. He was friendly and full of fun. I had such a great laugh with him and because I was travelling solo, he allowed me to sit up front with him and listen to the music on the radio and on our phones through Bluetooth. The people on the tour were great fun too and we all had such a laugh. I've done tours before but this one really stood out for me and I credit Mohamed for this and for how well he engaged with all of us. I highly recommend this tour. It was a fantastic couple of days and I have left with great memories and new friends.

Waka Waka…this time for Africa! - Was a great experience, our favourite part of the trip was the visit to the Berber village and learning about their culture from the guide there. Lunches were not included in the tour but they were reasonably priced for a three course meal. The camel trip in to the desert and the overnight camping stay was an experience, however we did have to wait two plus hours for our dinner and the water did not work. Be prepared for a lot of travelling by minibus, we knew this would be the case beforehand however and it was all part of the experience stopping off at shops along the way (which were again reasonably priced £1 for a coffee) Although we didn’t fully know what was happening at times, the guide Ali and others communicated well with each other and the trip flowed well. Also prepare to hear the song Shakira’s song, Waka Waka about 17 times! To be honest, it made it part of the trip (I guess like a club dance!)

A lot of driving time and many unnecessary stops except for the desert & Aid Benhaddou - Nice driver, but unfortunately long bus rides. Overall we spent 10 hours on the bus almost every day. Aid Benhaddou, Dades spring and the desert are definitely recommended. We didn't need the other stops. We made them more often to buy something. The guides were nice, but they didn't tell us much. We had to pay extra for them. The first riad only had 2 stars and unfortunately that was reflected in the rooms. We slept in our sleeping bags. The desert camp was cute. Unfortunately it was so stuffy in the tent that we couldn't sleep well. In the morning you could decide whether you wanted to go on dromedaries or jeep & sandboarding for €15. There was only one jeep for 10 people and we weren't allowed to stand on the snowboard because of the risk of injury. So overall the Sahara is highly recommended, but the trip was very strenuous and there was a wide price range depending on where you booked. It's better to only stay overnight and then do what you want yourself.

Exhausting - The trip was just as it said it would be but to honest I wouldn’t do it again . The journey was extremely hot and long. The food average . The people were kind and hospitable but I was tired and worn out by the end. We went to bed after a 1030 pm dinner and 11 o’clock camp fire . The tent was beautiful but too hot to sleep . It seemed more exhausting then anything . Drove for 16 hrs minimum in three days
