Depart Kampala for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Journey Time: 3 – 4 Hours
At your preferred pickup point, meet your driver guide and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda crossing Cyanika Boarder.
Upon arrival, check-in at the lodge and have lunch with the rest of your day at leisure.

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Located in south-western Uganda, the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is said to be Africa’s oldest rainforest. It is world-renowned for its excellent gorilla-sighting opportunities. The rugged landscape features dense jungle, cascading waterfalls, sparkling mountain streams, deep valleys and steep ridges. This untouched forest has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of its breath-taking natural beauty and unique ecological significance. Aside from the amazing gorilla interactions, there are other draw cards such as a network of forest walks, over 340 species of bird to spot and a variety of butterflies.

Gorilla Tracking Day and Batwa Cultural tour

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest - After an early breakfast at the lodge, pick your lunchbox with mineral water in a backpack, and head to the park headquarters for registration and briefing at 8:00AM.
Gorilla tracking is a very captivating and an unforgettable experience which more than repays the effort needed to reach Bwindi. From 8:30AM; it can last for an hour to a whole day depending on where the gorillas were left the previously. Meet the gorillas and take as many photos as you can, but following precautions addressed by your ranger guides.

Towards the evening, go for a community tour and meet the Batwa people; learn about their hunting skills, medicinal knowledge, child upbringing, cuisines with art and crafts.
Return to the lodge and stay relaxed for the rest of your time in Bwindi.

Transfer back to Kigali City

Kigali - Journey time: 3 – 4 Hours
Have breakfast at the lodge, with part of your morning at leisure. Thereafter transfer back to Kigali City. You will be dropped off at the hotel or Kigali Int. Airport, depending on your onward travel plans.
