Around 02:00 PM, you’ll take the small public speedboat to Isabela Island. This can be a bumpy, wet ride. Please note that you won’t have lunch if you arrive after 03:00 PM. The rest of the tour usually looks like this: Day 2: Bahia half day tour & Charles Darwin Station, Day 3 morning boat to Isabela, Los Tuneles, Day 4 morning boat to Santa Cruz and transfer out.

A swift speedboat will then transport you to Isabela Island, where attractions such as the Flamingo lagoon and Los Tuneles offer excellent snorkeling opportunities. In addition, there’s an option to partake in a self-led snorkeling session at Concha Perla. Once you return to Santa Cruz Island, a visit to the Charles Darwin Research Station will enlighten you about his groundbreaking Theory of Evolution as well as the unique history and ecosystems of Galapagos. You’ll also get an up-close view of the enormous Galapagos tortoises and learn about the legendary Lonesome George, the last of his species, who passed away in 2012.

  • Please note that the activity sequence depend on the availabilities of the different tours and transportation and your flight schedule. If have a late arrival to Galapagos, the sequence of your complete tour might change but you won’t miss any tours if you have an afternoon flight back to Ecuador on the last day.
  • It is recommended to book flights with an early arrival time to the Galapagos Islands and a late departure time from the Galapagos Islands to make sure you can enjoy all of the activities of the tour. Late arrivals and/or early departures mean you might miss some activities.
  • If your flight is delayed or canceled and you cannot make it to Puerto Ayora in time to take the last speedboat to Isabela Island, which departs around 02:00 PM, the team assists you with finding accommodation on Santa Cruz Island but this will be on your own expense. You will miss the planned activities.
  • There are no guides on the transportation by public speedboat between islands.
  • Try to only bring small baggage/bags since public transportation on the Galapagos Islands is quite small.
  • Tap water on the Galapagos Islands might contain bacteria and should not be consumed, not even for brushing your teeth. Bottled or purified water is always recommended.
  • Inform yourself about food safety when traveling to tropical countries. Take the necessary precaution to avoid food poisoning (always wash your hands before eating, don’t eat ‘street food’, only eat peeled fruits, etc.).
  • It is important to have valid travel and medical insurance. Please inform us of any known medical conditions you have.
  • The operator reserves the right to change the itinerary without previous notice due to weather conditions, availabilities, National Park regulations or notifications and unforeseeable circumstances.
  • It is possible that pictures will be taken during your tour, so it is recommended to bring a USB.
  • The exact amount for the fees mentioned in the ‘What’s excluded’ section will be detailed in the voucher. If you want to know this information beforehand, please contact us through the platform.
  • Accommodation is based on number of travelers, if you are traveling with a group, you will be sharing rooms (single rooms require an extra fee).

3 day naturalist cruise in Galapagos on Penguino Explorer - Awesome trip, wish I could have done more days. It was actually 3 days as we were taken ashore 8:30 AM on the 4th day. Rebecca Travel was always responsive. The crew and naturalist guide (Jennifer) were wonderful. The food was outstanding. Good snorkeling and many evolutionary stories with the animal sitings. The yacht was clean and comfortable.

Amazing job - Our train ride was cancelled so we were at a loss of what we could do last minute. Angelica did an AMAZING JOB putting our trip together at the very last minute to the Galapagos! She is so awesome and great in handling the details. she made sure from the moment we landed til we arrived back in the United states that we were taken care of. She is great with communication and making sure all of our hotel and tours were on track. I had been dealing with her for over a year and when our plans got canceled she stepped up and handled it wonderfully. I would use her again and cannot even begin to show our appreciation to her. I totally recommend her as well as rebecca's adventures. Thank you Angelica! You are amazing!
