Exploring the Heart of Georgia: Tbilisi City Tour

Tbilisi - Your journey kicks off with a private driver and tour guide picking you up from your hotel in Tbilisi.

Tsminda Sameba Cathedral - The Holy Trinity Cathedral, also known as Sameba Cathedral, stands as one of Tbilisi’s most iconic landmarks. It serves as the main spiritual hub for the Georgian Orthodox Church and ranks among the largest Orthodox cathedrals globally. Construction began in 1995 and concluded in 2004.

Chronicles of Georgia - Created by renowned Georgian sculptor, painter, and architect Zurab Tsereteli, the Chronicle of Georgia is a significant monument. While most of Tsereteli’s works are located in Russia and Georgia, his Tear of Grief sculpture gained international recognition when it was presented to the United States by the Russian government to honor the victims of the September 11 attacks.

Abanotubani - Abanotubani, or the Baths District, is one of Tbilisi’s oldest areas, situated on the right bank of the Mtkvari River. The district is named after the ancient baths built on naturally hot mineral waters.

Kura River - A boat trip on the Mtkvari River offers views of popular tourist spots, including the old town, Metekhi Cathedral, the sulphur bath district, Rike Park, the Peace Bridge, and more.

The Bridge of Peace - Spanning the Mtkvari River between the Metekhi and Baratashvili Bridges, the Peace Bridge connects Erekle II Street and Rike. Opened on May 6, 2010, it has become a symbol of modern Tbilisi. The bridge was designed by architect Michele de Luca and lighting designer Philippe Martino.

Metekhi Cathedral - Located in the historic Metekhi district on the left bank of the Mtkvari River, the Metekhi Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary houses the tomb of St. Shushanik. After the ecclesiastical split between Armenians and Georgians in the 7th century, Catholicos Kyrion moved the saint’s remains to this church. Queen Tamar later adorned the saint’s body with gilded clothes.

Legvachtahvi Gorge - The Leghvtakhevi waterfall, standing 22 meters tall, is located in Tbilisi’s ancient Abanotubani district. The name Leghvtakhevi comes from the Georgian word for fig, as the area was once abundant with fig trees.

Narikala Fortress - Narikala Fortress is a must-visit site in Tbilisi, offering stunning views of the city and the Mtkvari River. The fortress consists of two walled sections between the sulphur baths and the Tbilisi Botanical Garden.

Rustaveli Avenue - Formerly known as Golovin Street, Rustaveli Avenue is Tbilisi’s central thoroughfare, named after medieval Georgian poet Shota Rustaveli. It stretches for about 1.5 km from Freedom Square.

Liberty Square - Also known as Freedom Square, this central Tbilisi landmark has had various names throughout history, including Erivansky Square and Lenin Square. It is located at the eastern end of Rustaveli Avenue.

Shardeni Street - Situated in the Upper Kala district, Shardeni Street is a vibrant pedestrian area known for its art galleries, bars, restaurants, and cultural significance.

Memories for Lifetime and a great friendship!! - It was the best decision of me to take the trip to Georgia with Nugo and Goergia365tours. He did what he promised and went beyond to take us to places not included initially. We felt like a friend travelling with us guiding along the trip, never felt discomfort or left alone! He did everything to make sure we feel safe and comfortable. He took care of kids while we went to explore the sites! Whats more, while leaving Georgia we felt like leaving a close friend!!! It's such a beautiful trip for us and a lifetime of memories! Nugo, you are amazing human and expert at what you do! Thank you for all you did for us!
