Special Angkor Wat Small Circuit with Sunset

Angkor Wat - After your breakfast our guide will meet and pick you up in the lobby at 8:00am at your accommodation (Hotel or Guest House) and we will take you to buy temples pass along the way to temples then we’ll visit the world famous Angkor Wat temple.

Ta Prohm Temple - It really is amazing! Afterward continue to Ta Promh on the small circuit road. This temple is one with a lot of gigantic tree roots over the temple and is the place where Hollywood made the movie “Tomb Raider”.

After busy couple hours in the morning between 12:00pm-1:00pm we’ll have lunch at a local restaurant nearby take around 45 minutes-1 hour ( Meals : food can be cost rank from 5USD per dish which depend on the food you order form menu ). After lunch then we go to the next temples in afternoon.

Ta Nei Temple - Ta Nei is small & quite temples with less restoration yet. It is a very good for those who want to avoid crowds. The temple is surrounded by many big trees.

Angkor Thom - At first we will stop by visit the Victory gate on the east side of Angkor Thom. After quick stop visit & taking photos then we continue to Bayon temple.

Bayon Temple - Bayon temple is in the centre of Angkor Thom city with 49 towers in which every tower has 4 faces, so that means there are 196 faces of Budhhistsatva Avalokestesvara and we walk to the next temple.

Baphuon Temple - The nearby temple is called Baphoun which is a Hindu temple built before Angkor Wat in 11st Century. The big Reclining Buddha behind it was built in 16th Century & we continue to Royal Enclosure Wall.

Phimeanakas - Phimeanakas is the pyramid Hindu temple built in 10 Century and located in the center of the old Royal Palace of Angkor Thom so we can visit Phimeanakas altogether with ancient Royal Enclosure Wall.

Terrace of the Elephants - Terrace of the Elephants is the platform was ever used by many kings to view victorious returning army and it has many pictures of elephants carving on the wall of the platform.

Terrace of the Leper King - The Terrace of the Leper King is another platform located nearby on the north side of Terrace of Elephants.

Phnom Bakheng - Last one we go to climb up the hill Phnom Bakheng for waiting to see sunset view but in case if you don’t want to be waiting for sunset then you can skip sunset.

Note: Due to the limited number of tourists allowed at the peak on Phnom Bakheng , if it is busy we will take you to climb up Phnom Bakheng a bit earlier and you can take a bit longer waiting for sunset ( Note : Waiting & see sunset will take 1.45 hours - 2 hours )

Additional Information

During this four-day tour, you will explore the not-to-be-missed sights in Siem Reap as well as some lesser-known attractions.

On the first day, we’ll tour all main temples along the Small Circle route. On the second day, we’ll drive to the sacred Kulen Mountain National Park. Here, you can observe carvings beneath a riverbed that become hallowed by the flowing waters. Additionally on day two, we will visit the Banteay Srei, Banteay Samre & Pre Rup temples.

The third day will begin with the spectacular sunrise over Angkor Wat. Post sunrise, we’ll head to the temples along the Big Circle such as Prah Khan, Neak Poan, Ta Som, and East Mebon. In the afternoon, we’ll drive to the southern part of Siem Reap to explore three major temples in the Rolous Group.

Finally, on day four, we’ll embark on a long drive to the tranquil and infrequently visited temples in the Koh Ker Group and Beng Mealea. This peaceful drive will offer beautiful views of the countryside.

Perfect itinerary - Perfect itinerary for the trip of a lifetime! Bunhak provides amazing information on the many temples’ histories. The 2 days of venturing into the surrounding areas of Siem Reap allows an exploration of the countryside and see what life in Cambodia is like and again Bunhak is able to explain everything you are seeing. I highly recommend this company with their Guide’s expertise in the history and culture and the drivers expertise navigating traffic!
