I booked this tour at the end of... -
I booked this tour at the end of November. It was well put together. My tour guide, Mohamed S. Mohamed, was nothing short of spectacular. He was real and honest about everything. His recommendations are outstanding. And he's a chill dude. It says four days, but you could it in three as Mohamed explained. Unless you would like to spend all day at the Pyramids, then the four days are sufficient. Some things don't take as long as they look or sound, so you would have a lot more free time after the tours are finished to do more stuff or nothing at all. After Mohamed provided me with an approximate breakdown of the time it would take to cover the items in the tour, I realized that I could free up a day. So, i asked him if it was feasible to goto Alexandria and he said yea. Starting with the river cruise, it was nice. We took off a little after sunset. They had a belly dancer there. So that was entertaining. The food was good, but if you want to quench that thirst, BYOB. The second day, Memphis, Pyramids, Saqqara, Sphinx was the most enjoyable. It's the stuff you read about in books, but when you see it for yourself, it's a surreal experience. I did a camel ride at the Pyramids. At first I was reluctant, but convinced myself to do it. It was the best decision ever. We rode to a spot where you can see all of the Pyramids and took some massive pics. The third day we went to Alexandria. The drive was about three hours-ish. On the way back, we stopped in at this place called Hane Village for some food. It was like a feast. They covered the table with dishes of food. The chicken and lamb were delicious. The pasta was good too. The last day of the tour was Old Cairo and the Egyptian Museum. Mohamed took me to some souvenir shops. They had some really nice quality stuff. The papyrus shop was interesting. They showed you how it's made. If you're big on mementos, get a lot before u goto the airport because the prices there are pricey. We also went to some hooka spots. It was good, but the best was El Fishawy. Their hooka is really potent. With everything said, I would more than recommend this tour to anyone. You more than get your moneys worth, so book it!!!
